The Three Faces of A Photo

Lately I've been playing again in Photoshop, which I must admit is a great fun! It is amazing what you can do in just a few easy steps and with a couple of textures. Here is the original version of my picture, the one I started from: And the very same picture plus one texture: And plus two textures: What do you think? Tell me which one do you like the best? The things that make me different

Did you know that grown up people quote Winnie the Pooh? And they even have tattoos made with such quotes. So here is a quote from Winnie, since I've always loved him. Or should I say "her"? As we know that the real Winnie, the one that inspired A.A. Milne to write the story, was in fact a "she". "The things that make me different are the things that make me." This was made in Photoshop - used a filter on one of my photos, some brushes, two textures for background, a polaroid frame, some adju

The Pervert Is Back

This is what I posted on my Facebook not so long ago and I think it should go here, too."The pervert is back" as Larry Flynt once said! [i love that movie, by the way.] Here is my new bead. And bad news - there will be no hearts and flowers anymore. They simply are not my stile. So this is just to let you know that the pervert is back:  I'll make this into a necklace soon. But until then let me show you another bead that I like a lot. I only have to string it on a leather cord! This picture depic

The Other Me...

Well, here is the other me... a little bit deviant... We went for a hike last week and... well... I found a cow! It was not a living one, just the... you know... bones. Here are two pictures of it. I used the vintage frames from The CoffeeShop Blog, go over there and you will find tons of tutorials, free stuff like frames, PS actions, storyboards and lot more.   Ha-ha! Do you know what these are??? The teeth! I like their shape, all those lines and curves and circles. I took home some teeth

The Frozen Lakes

Yesterday we went for a walk down to the lakes. It was in the afternoon and at first everything seemed almost like black and white. And the moon up in the trees Then there were some tracks frozen on the lake, and colors came up as the sun went down. And some geese were swimming in the icy water - just a narrow stream over the frozen lake Well... and here comes the "golden hour" And then flocks of wild birds flew over I hope some of you enjoy these pics. They are not the best ever. But it is

Spring Flowers and Snail

Well... I don't have much of an imagination, but what I saw this morning was completely crazy! First let me show you some spring flowers. O how I love my little garden!!! When everything comes to life after the gray winter, trees bloom, flowers open, bees buzz around. We had a small rain last night and my tulips were covered in tiny drops of water And now the freaking snail! God, somebody had lots of time and a very relaxed mind to think of painting a snail in blue!!!It was in our garde

RAINBOW BRIDGE - let's believe in angels today

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them

QR Code

I made a QR Code a couple of days ago!!! WOOOW, I feel so good when I make something new. And especially when I can keep up with new technologies! There are lots of  QR code generator sites. I read a little bit about this on the net, and I decided I don't want only text, or only URL. So, I opened an account on SKANZ, where one can make a kind of "site" and choose what information the QR Code should contain, which is URL, text, contact, photo, all in one. And guess what?!?!? You don't even need

Process or Not Process Pictures

So this is the question. Should I process pictures or should I not? And more, to what extent? I like pictures as they are when originally taken. Nevertheless, I also like some processing. It is great fun. But this also takes time. And learning!!! But there are some extremely simple actions that can be applied, which, I might say, radically change the look of the original photo. One great advantage is you don't need a very good photo. Not even a good one! Here are just a few processed pics that

Phototshop is my favorite

Hi there! I just popped in to post a picture, one of my favorites. The original photo is not so spectacular, but I just love the result I obtained in Photoshop. I like the texture and I love the hint of blue on the right. Come closer, I'm gonna tell ya a secret: I'm not sure I could do this again! I definitely have to name my layers when I work in Photoshop. see ya! Sursa

Photoshop and My Logo

me saw something on the net and me wanted too Sometimes I'm just like a little monkey, copying everything I see. Well... in fact it is not simply copying, but also learning, processing and making it my own. So here is my latest "doing" in PS, a "something" I am crazy about for the last few days: Isn't this just beautiful?!?!? Open a photo in PS and then pick different colors with the eyedropper from that certain photo and wonder at the surprising palette of colors you get. I simply love this!

Orange Chocolate Cake

Instead of beads, I'm back with something sweet I made for Women's Day. I made the dough for my chocolate cake and baked a cake and some cupcakes from it, too. Then I made an orange cream and here is the finished orange chocolate cake, decorated of course with orange slices: And here is a section just for you! I My Sweet God, it was heavenly!!! I love cookies and cakes and sweets! And I love chocolate! The cream was so... creamy, with orange juice and zest and pieces of orange and heavy cream in

OOB - Out Of Bounds

Have I told you that I'm like a child? I want everything I see! The last interesting thing I saw was OOB, that is out of bounds photos made in Photoshop. And of course I had to give this a try, too. So here it is, my first... well, actually second try on this PS effect: [my first was a real success, too. but it was a kind of family photo, and as you might have noticed, I don't make a habit of posting faces/portraits/people.] I love this little fellow! Took this picture last year. Some two ye

November Sky

I've changed my old computer for a laptop and been working for days now to transfer all my files and install the programs I am used to... not quite succeeded, unfortunately. But the good news is that I can download my photos from my camera and resize them. Here are only a few which I took last week - from my backyard: I forgot to mention... I have a new photo editing program - not as good as my old one - but it has some interesting features as you can see! We had again an amazing sky this after

Hi there! As I promised I'm back with new pics. These are my newest beads, a series I've made with new colors. I like how they turned out! For the time being, here are only the beads, they are waiting to be turned into something... they don't know into what, and neither do I quite exactly. See ya! Sursa

My Friends from Kacs

The neighbors next to us in Kacs have a black cat and 2 adorable kittens. They play a lot, and sleep a lot, and eat. In the beginning they were afraid, but last time we were there they just came in and enjoyed the company! I fed them, of course, and after a while we became so very close friends that I ended up with both of them taking a nap in my lap. These are the pics from the time I could hardly put a finger on either of them:       The playful one!      Still sucking:  I've seen the dog!

My first try at Eco Paint

I've recently discovered eco painting on different cloth and also on paper and I am totally amazed by this process! Well, as you can imagine, I had to try this our. Although - again!!! - my "tools" were scarce. But first let me show you the end result: I am quite pleased with it. My cloth was the back pocket from a pair of trousers.  I guess that it have looked better if I had a white piece of cloth.Second, I didn't have any leaves so I used onion skins, red cabbage and some small fir branche

My Feathered Friends

We had some very cold days but today was a little bit nicer. And guess what? My dear feathered friends are here! I've been trying all day long to take some pictures #-o From indoors, as you may imagine! Which is almost as hard as from outside, except that it's not so cold!!! :)) I don't have quite an unobstructed access to my window, which makes balance a little difficult. And of course, I have to pull aside the curtains a little bit, which sometimes scares the birds away. So here are some pictu

Meet IGOR!

You saw it before, but let me show you now the REAL Igor! The finished Igor. I just love it! It looks so real. I observed people's reaction when they firs saw it: everybody thought it was a real bird skull! O how pleased I am! I started making this bead and was not satisfied with its outcome, and started all over again several times. Though, there are two mistakes. The first is a production mistake, or say a design one - the beak is a bit too long... And the second, I glued on the eye pin and f

Let the children come to me!

- Tata-mosule, da' cocorii un' se duc când se duc? - În tara cocorilor. - În tara cocorilor? - Da. A very dear friend of mine commented on my latest FB post citing a Romanian novelist. Some long forgotten lines... but nevertheless so beautiful and heart touching. I googled myself, only to rediscover them once again, and felt like I need to share them with those dear friends of mine who I know are constantly reading my blog, and of course with every body else [who can read Romanian].
