Breaking: Harley-Davidson LiveWire Production Resumes
The Harley-Davidson LiveWire is once again in production. A Harley-Davidson Motor Company (Harley) representative contacted ADVRider and provided the following information:
“After completing rigorous analysis this week, we have resumed LiveWire production and deliveries. Customers may continue riding their LiveWire motorcycle and are able to charge the motorcycle through all methods. Temporarily stopping LiveWire production allowed us to confirm that the non-standard condition identified on one motorcycle was a singular occurrence. We take pride in our rigorous quality assurance measures and our drive to deliver the world’s best motorcycles.”
That’s certainly great news for the MoCo and hopefully for the LiveWire. Harley is depending on it to be its halo model for its upcoming lines of electric motorcycles and scooters.

Unverified reports indicated the problem was with one of the bike’s charging ports. Although Harley doesn’t directly state that this was the problem, it does indicate “Customers may continue riding their LiveWire motorcycle and are able to charge the motorcycle through all methods” which seems to infer that the problem occurred somewhere in the charging system.
The even better news for Harley is that the issue is a one-off problem, not one found throughout the product line. We will keep you up to date with more information as it becomes available.
