Yeti SnowMX Conversion Kits Recalled

70 vizualizări

Canadian firm Camso is recalling certain Yeti SnowMX conversion kits.  The issue stems from a potential defect that can cause the snowbike’s brakes to fail.

The conversion kit replaces the front wheel with a ski and a track system for the rear wheel.    The system also includes the addition of appropriate brakes and other components.

The affected kits have serial numbers starting with YE3XXXX or 964XXXX located on the underside of the unit as well as the Yeti logo printed the kit’s side.

The following models and model years of Yeti SnowMX kits are affected:

Model Year 2018:

  • 120 Sport SS
  • 129 Freeride SS
  • 120 Sport
  • 129 Freeride
  • 137 Mountain lite

Model Year 2019:

  • 120SS
  • 129SS
  • 129FR
  • 137MT

Model Year 2020:

Camso says that consumers should immediately stop using the affected snowbikes and contact an authorized Yeti SnowMX for repair, free of charge.  You can find a list of authorized Yeti SnowMX dealers here.

Camso is conducting this recall under the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC’s) Fast Track Recall process.  Fast Track recalls are initiated by companies that commit to work with the CPSC to quickly announce a recall and provide a remedy to consumers.

The CPSC’s recall number is 20-108.
