Ducati Recalls Certain 2018 Multistrada 1260 Models
Ducati North America is recalling certain 2018 Multistrada 1260, Multistrada 1260 S and Multistrada Pikes Peak motorcycles. A defect could potentially cause the sidestand to break unexpectedly.
Ducati says that ongoing product quality tests have identified a defect due to the manufacturing process of a supplier of the side stand. Specifically, the side stand may be improperly welded. The defect could potentially cause the side stand to separate at the weld and break. This could increase the risk of damage to the motorcycle and/or injury to the rider.
