Ducati and LEGO Team Up To Build A Panigale V4 R
Can’t swing $40K+ for a new Ducati Panigale V4 R? Well, you will soon be able to own a smaller “build it yourself” version. Ducati and LEGO have teamed up to create a LEGO version of the $40K bike. You won’t be able to ride it, but you can make Vroom, Vroom sounds and imagine you are.
LEGO Ducati Panigale V4 R kit
The LEGO version of the Panigale V4 R measures approximately 12.5 inches (32 cm) in length, by 6.3 inches (16 cm) in height and 3.1 inches (8 cm) in width. The V 4 R kit is LEGO’s first kit that includes a gearbox.
The kit comes with working suspension, gearbox and steering.
Ducati and LEGO say that the steering and suspension provide realistic movement. They also tout the kits design features which include front and rear disc brakes, kickstand, exhaust pipe, windscreen, and dashboard. All of which the companies say makes the model faithful to the real version.
V4 R Design
LEGO Technic Senior Designer Aurélien Rouffiange talked about the kit’s details and benefits saying:
“It was essential for me to include as many details and features as I could, to capture all the curves and the unique design of the Red icon, to create for the first time a functioning gearbox and steering as well as a V4 cylinder engine that spins. To me riding is all about the sensation you feel in connection with the road on your motorcycle. I hope that building the LEGO TECHNIC Panigale V4R model brings you the same excitement. Not only a play experience but also a way to learn about mechanics, power and technology. The beginning of a long journey with a lot of fun and passion.”

If you are interested, the kit will be available by June 1st in Ducati dealerships, the Ducati Online shop and in LEGO stores (retail and online). The price of admission to your LEGO Ducati V4 R will be €59.99 ($65.00).
