With great new adventure bikes comes a great responsibility for the aftermarket, to release farkles for the new machine. No surprise, GIVI’s doing just that for the updated Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin.
Honda announced the revamped Africa Twin last fall, and of course Big Red has its own line of add-ons. Honda’s more than happy to sell you crash bars or luggage, but they won’t be cheap. The aftermarket bits aren’t cheap either, but you’ll save some money, and if you’ve already got a set of GIVI saddlebags, you might want to adapt them to the new bike, instead of buying all-new luggage.
GIVI’s selling adapters to fit its Monokey and Trekker Outback panniers to the Africa Twin, as well as its Monokey and Monolock top boxes. GIVI is also selling an adapter ring that allows you to fit its quick-release Tanklock tank bag to the Africa Twin’s gas tank fill hole.
GIVI has also put together a set of 25 mm crash bars for the Africa Twin. This two-part assembly protects the engine as well as the radiator and upper bodywork. GIVI also suggests riders use it as a mounting point for accessory lights. There’s also an accessory mounting bar, intended for GPS and similar devices, bolting to the Africa Twin’s stock handlebars. GIVI is also selling handguard extensions, and shorter and longer windshields for the Africa Twin.
