The 2021 Ténéré 700 will hit US dealer showrooms in the first week of June 2020 according to a Yamaha press release.  Yamaha had previously connected with customers interested in the machine through its website and dealer network.

Now, Yamaha is accepting orders, and sales will likely be brisk.  Yamaha expects that the first set of shipments to the US will sell out.  However, they also say that additional inventory will be arriving at authorized Yamaha dealerships later this summer and fall.  Unfortunately, no particular arrival dates for those shipments are being provided.

Customers who order a Ténéré 700 will also have the opportunity to purchase one of two Yamaha accessory packs.  The first accessory pack, Yamaha’s “Rally Pack,” features a skid plate, main stand (center stand) engine guard, radiator protector, chain guide, mono-seat rack, and a tank pad.

The second accessory pack, Yamaha’s “Tour Pack” includes a main stand (center stand), engine guard, side case stays, and a set of side cases (panniers) with locks.  Unfortunately, neither the Rally or Tour Pack’s pricing has been announced.

The Tenere 700’s instrument panel includes a multi-function LCD display with gear position, fuel level, two trip meters, estimate fuel range, as well as average and instant fuel consumption.

The Ténéré 700 will be available in three different color schemes.  You will be able to choose from Ceramic Ice, Intensity White, and Matte Black.

Yamaha’s US suggested retail price for the Ténéré 700 is $9,999.

Are you interested in the Yamaha Ténéré 700?  What do you think of the bike’s capabilities and its price?  Will it be a success in the US?  Let us know in the comments below.
