Moto Guzzi V90 TTR Concept
The Moto Guzzi V85 TT is a big hit for Moto Guzzi. But the machine is more oriented towards the asphalt than it is off-road.
And, it seems that well-known bike designer Oberdan Bezzi thinks that Moto Guzzi could make the V85 TT more off-road and adventure travel-worthy. Bezzi’s latest design does just that.
Bezzi calls his machine the Moto Guzzi V 90 TTR. While it looks great, it could also have the chops to tackle more challenging terrain. The differences between the current V85 TT and Bezzi’s design are significant. The V 90 TTR offers increased displacement and power, a 21″ and 18″ wheelset and knobby tires.
Although the engine layout/configurations are vastly different, the Husqvarna Norden 901 looks similar to the Bezzi V 90 TTR. Image credit: Husqvarna
In addition, Bezzi’s machine boasts increased suspension travel and a rear-mounted auxiliary tank for longer journeys. Bezzi says the V 90 TTR looks “Dakarian.”
I like the look of the machine, but I am not sure what he means by “Dakarian.” If he means the looks of the Dakar bikes of old, I agree, it does have that look. But what struck me the most about the look of this machine is its resemblance to another bike that will actually make it to production.
Which machine am I talking about? It’s the Husqvarna Norden 901, particularly when you look at the bike’s front end.
While the V 90 TTR may look a bit sleeker, I have to wonder whether Bezzi had a hand (or pen) in Husky’s upcoming machine.
Regardless, what do you think of this Bezzi design? Would you be interested in this machine of Moto Guzzi brought it to market? Let us know in the comments below.
