Tom “I do my own stunts” Cruise is at it again, this time for the seventh installment of the “Mission: Impossible” franchise. Photos from the set show Cruise riding a Honda CRF along a raised platform before hitting  a large ramp, sending the actor 150 feet into the air, at which point he launches himself off the bike. Worry not, ardent fans, as the motorcycle was tethered so as to attempt to minimize the damage done upon landing.

“Mission: Impossible” was a television series that ran from 1966 to 1973, briefly resurfaced for two seasons in 1988, then was re-booted as a movie franchise in 1996, starring Ving Rhames. Rhames’ solid acting and popularity after his performance in 1994’s “Pulp Fiction” paved the way for six more installments of the “Impossible” series, including the one currently filming.

Rhames’ co-star and sidekick in the series, Tom Cruise, occasionally brightens the screen with death-defying stunts, often involving motorcycles. The 58-year-old Cruise promises to stop once he hits 60, and was undeterred during this stunt, even though a real stunt person’s bike accidentally exploded on set a few weeks earlier.

Cruise’s other attempts at stealing the limelight from Rhames include climbing the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and being strapped to the side of a Airbus 400 Atlas military transport aircraft while it takes off.

Cruise has apparently been seen in and around the Oxfordshire, UK, shooting location in a matte black helicopter, as well as visiting the 100 acre exclusive Soho Farmhouse club with Rhames’ other co-star, Simon Pegg.
