Back in June, we told you about the AIMExpo and the Motorcycle Industry Council’s (MIC) decision to make the event industry only.  Additionally, the MIC scrapped the former October date for a date in January 2021.

Entirely virtual event

But due to COVID concerns, the event will now be held virtually.  According to the MIC, AIMExpo CONNECT will happen on January 21st and 22nd.  The show will open with a keynote address by Erik Pritchard, President, and CEO of the MIC.  Thereafter, the show will feature a series of educational seminars, a virtual floor show and a “…product launch platform to help manufacturers and service providers connect with industry dealers and retailers.”

The MIC’s Vice President and General Manager of MIC events, Cinnamon Kernes said:

“AIMExpo has always focused on providing a platform that brings the industry together, in one place, at one time. We created AIMExpo CONNECT to kick off 2021 and provide a central, digital marketplace to showcase the newest and best powersports products in the market.  Nothing will replace face-to-face meetings and events, but we didn’t want to wait to gather. We’re here to help the industry connect, and our unique matchmaking system will help exhibitors and dealers make real connections.”

AIMExpo CONNECT’s virtual exhibit hall will showcase new powersports vehicles, parts, accessories, gear, news, and content on both days.  Dealers will also be able to view products, access show specials, and make appointments to discuss products and orders.

AIMExpo CONNECT is coming in January 2021.

AIMExpo educational sessions

As an industry-only event, there will be multiple educations sessions during the two days focus on profit solutions.  One of those sessions will be facilitated by Dairyland discussing powersports insurance offerings and other tools to assist dealers.

AIMExpo CONNECT will also feature a special MIC Gas Tank competition that features the year’s top industry innovators and entrepreneurs.  If you are not familiar with the Gas Tank competition, it’s the powersports industry’s version of “Shark Tank”.  During the competition, finalists who team with an industry veteran mentor, present their business plans to a panel of judges who will select a first-place winner.
