Moto Guzzi Releasing 100th Anniversary Limited Series
Moto Guzzi is marking 100 years of continuous motorcycle production with the introduction of three limited series 100th-anniversary machines. Moto Guzzi says that the three machines are:
“…An exclusive, elegant and attractive color scheme, evocative of a unique heritage, drawing its origins from the aesthetics of legendary bikes which made motorcycling history, first and foremost, the 8-cylinder (“otto cilindri”) of 1955. A crazy, yet visionary idea, an extraordinary bike created to compete in the World Championship 500 class, a project so bold that it was ten years ahead of all global motorcycle production.
Each of the three machines has a new color scheme. Moto Guzzi says the new schemes reflect “purely racing essence.” The new paint combines the “satin-finished metal” of the fuel tank with a green of the fairing and brown leather seat.
These colors also characterized the 350 Gialbero, one of Moto Guzzi’s most victorious bikes. Particularly in the then 350cc class of World Championship GP Motorcycle racing. It earned a record 9 consecutive world titles (5 riders and 4 manufacturers) from 1953 to 1957.
Green is the first color to grace the early Moto Guzzi Normale model. For its Centennial, Moto Guzzi has chosen to reinterpret this color using a “modern approach.” Another distinguishing feature is the gold Moto Guzzi eagle. And finally, each special Limited Series bike gets a dedicated logo that celebrates Moto Guzzi’s 100 years.
A limited number of V7 Stone, V7 Bobber, and V85 TT will receive this 100 Anniversary special limited series treatment.
