Vance & Hines Returns To NHRA Drag Racing

Long time NHRA drag racing competitor Vance and Hines (V&H) is returning to NHRA drag racing.  The V&H team had had a 20-year sponsorship with Harley-Davidson (Harley).  Harley’s decision to end its factory racing programs left the V&H team looking for a new sponsor.  And now, V&H has a partnership with Mission Foods to continue racing in the NHRA Drag Racing Pro Stock Motorcycle category.

V&H will no longer field a Harley based bike but is switching to Suzuki for 2021.  The bike will utilize a new four-valve V&H modded Suzuki engine.  It features a modernized top-end providing increased valve lift and reduced mass in the valve train.  The machine’s 1850cc engine will deliver nearly 400 horsepower.  It will be mated to a custom chassis developed using data from V&H’s thousands of runs in NHRA competition.

Riding the machine will be Angelle Sampey,  a 3-time NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Champion.  Also, her 43 Pro Stock Motorcycle wins make her the NHRA’s top female athlete.  Sampey is happy to be on the new V&H ride:

“I’m so excited to be part of the Vance & Hines team again this year.  This is a first class company that gives me the best bikes I’ve ever ridden. I’m feeling really good about what we can accomplish together this year.“

Equally happy is V&H’s CEO, Mike Kennedy:

We’re happy to be working with Angelle once again.  Vance & Hines is in a wonderful position right now.  We’ve got one of the top riders in the sport aboard our outstanding new equipment and we have Mission Foods as our new Team Partner.  I couldn’t have hoped for anything better as we go into the 2021 season.”
