Ducati is making a move on the Indian market in a big way.  According to DriveSpark, the Italian manufacturer will soon be adding 12 models to its offerings in India.  Each of the bikes will arrive BS6 compliant.

Right now, Indian buyers can book the Scrambler Icon and Scrambler Icon Dark.  To enter a booking, a buyer will have to fork over Rs 50,000 (about $685).

According to Bipul Chandra, the Managing Director of Ducati India:

“2020 has been unforeseen for the entire country with operations coming to a standstill. However, if we unravel the year, it’s commendable to witness the resilience of people working across the nation.  Similarly, for us at Ducati, the majority of our launches and plans were pushed to 2021, and this year is going to be one of the most exciting years for us, with new launches planned in every quarter!”

“We hope the current scenario with the pandemic stabilizes, and as we resume normal life, we will be back to create state of the art experiential events like DRE Track Days, Off Road Days, Dream Tours, and racing at the National Superbike Championship.  As we head into 2021, we are thankful to the entire team here at Ducati, our dealers, and most importantly, the Ducatisti for standing strong with us.”

The COVID pandemic put the brakes on most Ducati launches in 2020.  However, by year’s end, the Ducati Panigale V2, Scrambler 1100 Pro, and the Multistrada 950S made their Indian debuts.

2021 debuts

Now, in 2021, Ducati intends to make its Indian product range even more complete with the entry of more models.  Bikes like the Monster, Scrambler, Multistrada, Panigale, Diavel, and Streetfighter will arrive this year.

In the first quarter of 2021, Ducati will launch the Scrambler, Diavel, and the new XDiavel.  Then, Ducati will launch their V4 engined machines such as the Multistrada V4, Streetfighter V4, and the 2021 Panigale V4.

By the second half of 2021, Ducati plans to launch its Monster, SuperSport 950, and Hypermotard RVE.  New to launch will be all the BS6 Scrambler models, including the Scrambler 1100 Dark Pro, the new Night Shift, and the Desert Sled.

Pricing for the Indian market was not announced.
