New Adventure Gear From Touratech and Rev’It
Touratech, the company synonymous in the adventure riding world for motorcycle accessories, luggage and assorted other hard parts, has partnered with Rev’It to update their current Companero line of riding gear. Together they have released the new Companero Rambler Touratech-branded riding gear.
The new Rambler suit, made by Rev’It and branded by Touratech, is the next iteration of Touratech’s Companero adventure riding suits. Both companies offer up positively breathless descriptions. They insist this two-piece suit offers the best of all the features adventure riders need. These are, of course, the means to keep the rocks, pavement and rain out while also reliably letting the wind (but not the bugs) in.
The jacket and pants are already available on the US Touratech website, in black or grey, for both men and women. Rejoice, ladies: it seems as though both suits have the same pocket designs — and there are a lot! There will be gloves, too, to match the suit, but those aren’t yet available.
These pieces tick all the boxes. They have a Gore-Tex outer layer, Kevlar for abrasion resistance, and magnetic fasteners in the neck and front vents, keeping things open or closed as needed. There are lots of reflective strips for nighttime visibility. The CE2 back armor is “SEESOFT” perforated memory foam. The “SEEFLEX” armor pads in the shoulders and knees are a lattice design, marrying protection with breathability. The jacket’s front vents and pockets are all made to work one-handed.
Both the jacket and pants have removable liners. The jacket liner looks like a great standalone for chilly nights around the campfire.
All of these features come with a price tag though: men’s and women’s jackets both check in at $1299 USD, and the pants at $899 USD. The gloves are not available on the website yet.
