Video Teases Honda’s New Touring Bike
Honda Europe has been using the tagline “Moved by Dreams” in some of its recent videos. And this time around, apparently, those dreams refer to a new touring bike. Its most recent video is titled “The New Touring Era”. Although the model name hasn’t been formally announced, MCN calls the new machine the NT1100.

Unfortunately, as teaser videos often do, there are only brief glimpses of the bike but not much else. We’ve taken some screen grabs of the bike. What we can see is a decent-sized windscreen, a tail rack, and some panniers. But the video doesn’t reveal whether the bike is intended to be a long-distance comfort tourer or more sport touring oriented.

However, the screen seen in the video is “shortish”. So perhaps that means this bike leans more towards the sport-touring segment. That said, since the video’s tagline is “The New Touring Era,” maybe that means that it’s supposed to be an optimal blend of comfort and sporting?

As for additional details, MCN says the bike is based on the Africa Twin and shares the same 1100 cc parallel-twin engine. They also say that the Africa Twin’s TFT dash and DCT make it to the new bike.

All in all, that’s not a lot of information. But the official unveiling in Europe is not very far off. Honda will unveil the bike on October 21, 2021. At this point, there’s no information about whether the NT1100 will make it to North American shores.
