South Jersey Motorcycle Film Festival returns in November
The second annual South Jersey Motorcycle Film Festival returns for November 5-21, meaning you can enjoy two-wheeled adventures on-screen, even if your in-the-saddle adventures are winding down for the season.
The South Jersey Motorcycle Film Festival is the final event the Rev Sisters are organizing for 2021. Previously this year, the group ran the Santa Cruz Moto Film Festival and the Black Hills Moto Film Festival. All these events have a sub-theme beyond “two wheels on film.” This time, the festival has a strong emphasis on female-focused stories; the selected films have females either behind the camera, or in front of it. They’re by women, or about women.
That makes sense, as the Rev Sisters is an all-female team that met while working on the Women Riders World Relay and decided to to work on further moto-centric projects. Since then, Liza Miller, Shana Sanderson and Michelle Lamphere have been combining combine their respective skills and talents to promote motorcycling, particularly through this series of film festivals.
What will we see at the South Jersey festival? Organizers say there’s a variety of riding styles in this year’s festival, including land speed record attempts and other racing, round-the-world adventure travel, rider profiles, and more. Competition categories include best ultra short, short and feature, as well as most inspirational and viewers’ choice. Winners are announced during the festival.
Tickets to the festival are free, thanks to sponsorships—visit https://revsisters.com/sjmff2021. for more details. This year’s lineup of films isn’t listed yet, but we’d expect that to happen very shortly.
