Renderings of new Honda Hornet emerge
Honda teased a new Honda Hornet at EICMA 2021, but only shared a CGI silhouette offering a hint of what the new machine could look like.
Now, the Japanese outlet Autoby thinks they have enough information to guess what the new Hornet could look like when/if it goes into production. They believe the new bike will be called the Hornet S and will come in the form of a street fighter.
Starting with Honda’s CGI silhouette, Autoby is showing its own detailed CGI renderings of what they think the machine will look like, and their CGI looks pretty racy.

The renderings also show portions of the purported machine, including its front and tail sections.

Citing unnamed sources in Europe, Autoby says that the new machine will come with a parallel-twin engine displacing 755 cc. It’s supposed to be the one that will appear in Honda’s long-rumored new Trans Alp model.
Autoby’s CGI renderer, Shinji Miyakubo, says he tried to keep with Honda’s design, particularly on the bike’s tail section. However, he does say that he had to take some liberties with Honda’s design. For example, he points out that their CGI silhouette did not have an exhaust. So he decided to mimic an updated version of the exhaust found on the European Hornet.
Miyakubo’s design may not accurately reflect what Honda has up its sleeve, but it is a well-executed CGI of a very aggressive-looking machine.
