Ray Allen has enjoyed watching former teammate LeBron James lead Cleveland through the NBA playoffs. And it’s not much different than what Allen saw almost daily when the two were part of the Miami Heat’s run to a NBA title in 2013. ”He’s the main cog of what the Cavaliers are doing Youth Pittsburgh Steelers Jerseys ,” Allen said Monday. ”I don’t see him doing anything outside of his spectrum. He’s doing what he’s been doing most of his career. When we start talking playoff basketball and about the players who are good, we expect them to do their jobs when it’s time to do their jobs.” For the two-time NBA champion in Allen, there’s no higher compliment. Allen spent his stellar, 19-year career well prepared for whatever moment there was. He was a 10-time NBA all-star who helped a trophy-starved Boston to a championship in 2008, then joined James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh with the Heat to capture the 2013 crown. Allen, the son of an Air Force veteran, starred for Hillcrest High School in Dalzell, South Carolina Vernon Butler Jersey , about an hour east of Columbia. He returned to the Palmetto State this week to be part of the newest group of inductees into the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame. ”This is my first induction into any hall of fame,” Allen said, smiling. Allen, 42, left the game after the 2014 season as the NBA leader in career 3-pointers made – more than 400 more than Reggie Miller in second place. Allen’s also known for several big moments on the court, including his seven 3-pointers in the sixth and final game of the 2008 title series to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers to help the Celtics win their first championship since 1986. It was Allen’s 3-pointer from the right corner for the Heat in game six of the 2013 series with San Antonio that tied things at 95-all, a game Miami would go on to win in overtime before closing out the title run a game later. Allen, who also played for Milwaukee and Seattle , prefers remembering the smaller moments Orlando Brown Jr. Jersey , ones fans don’t see where teammates practice together and commit to let their talent and effort loose in games. ”The moments when the guys counted on me to come through for them,” he said. ”Just being accountable.” That’s what Allen sees from James as much in a first-quarter blocked shot or box out as in a last-second banker to defeat Toronto in the Eastern Conference semifinals. ”It’s being a good teammate,” he said. ”The people see the big shots, but what we see is, `Man, he was a great teammate. He was always there.”’ As far as the all-time debate, Allen gives the edge to Michael Jordan over James. Playing against both of them, Allen said Jordan ”didn’t have any weaknesses. There was just no way that you could stop him.” Allen is certain James, especially with more playoff showings like this season Mark Stone Jersey , will make a stronger case for the top spot. Allen missed Boston’s opening game conference finals win over Cleveland and James on Sunday as he had just returned from China where he was promoting the NBA. It’s a country hungry for more of the game, Allen said. He said he met one fan there who had his signature sneakers from his early days in Milwaukee. He’s not pulling for the Celtics or Cavaliers, just more compelling playoff basketball. And there should be plenty of that Tuesday night when Golden State plays at Houston, and when there should be plenty of 3-pointers being tossed up. Allen, though one of the all-time great long-range shooters in the NBA, doesn’t enjoy talking about the role he played in the evolution of game, where 3-pointers are being shot in record numbers. Allen attempted 500 or more 3s just three times in 19 seasons. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson have each done that for the Warriors the past six seasons. ”I just believe I did what I was supposed to do when I had my time,” Allen said. ”I try never to play those woulda, coulda Ronnie Harrison Color Rush Jersey , shouldas.” Allen credited his time in South Carolina for learning to overcome adversity on being a military child mixing with civilian students who knew little about life on an air base. ”This is a place that grew me up as a young person,” Allen said. ”It’s where I got my start.” — SEATTLE (AP) — The investment group hoping to bring an expansion NHL franchise to Seattle for the 2020 season has announced a new set of local investors including Seattle Sounders majority owner Adrian Hanauer and members of the Ackerley family that previously owned the Seattle SuperSonics. Seattle Hockey Partners, the group looking to secure the franchise, also announced Wednesday that it will make a presentation before the executive committee of the NHL Board of Governors on Oct. 2. Hanauer is perhaps the most notable addition to the ownership group, but adding Ted and Christopher Ackerley is a nod to the history of professional sports in Seattle. The Ackerley family owned the NBA’s Sonics from 1983 to 2001 before selling the franchise. The city of Seattle and sports facilities company Oak View Group also announced several agreements Wednesday on the proposed renovation of KeyArena, the former home of the Sonics that would serve as the future home for an NHL team. The agreements, including one on a long-term lease, will be forwarded to the City Council and must be approved before the planned $700 million reconstruction of the arena can begin. The final event at the current KeyArena is scheduled to be an NBA exhibition game on Oct. 5.
  2. Justin Timberlake was asked about a bromance with Tom Brady Youth James Daniels Jersey , a possible `N Sync reunion and serenaded with ”Happy Birthday,” but the superstar didn’t get a question about the wardrobe malfunction that rocked the world during a press conference Thursday to promote his return to the Super Bowl halftime show. Timberlake ruled out any chance his former boy band `N Sync would join him Sunday or other potential special guests would show up – including Janet Jackson herself. Timberlake revealed only that his band, The Tennessee Kids, would join him onstage and predicted a show that will include things ”never done before.” ”It’s a moment where you have the opportunity to bring so many people together through what I think is the greatest art form, which is music,” he said. ”And so that has been sort of the ethos of inspiration behind putting the set list together.” ”And, you know, I like to make dance music so I hope everyone is dancing,” he added. Timberlake is returning to the halftime show 14 years after the ”wardrobe malfunction” with Jackson caused a national controversy. He was not asked about the incident during the press availability. Timberlake was Jackson’s special guest during her performance when he ripped off a piece of her clothing and revealed her bare, pierced nipple. Timberlake later described it as an unintended ”wardrobe malfunction.” CBS, which aired the Super Bowl that year, drew a $550 Da'Shawn Hand Color Rush Jersey ,000 fine from the Federal Communications Commission that was later overturned. During his 20-minute press conference, Timberlake mentioned Jackson’s name when he spoke about who people thought he would invite as a guest during the halftime show. He also named Jay-Z, Chris Stapleton and `N Sync. He also admitted he had a ”man-crush” on Brady, the New England Patriots quarterback, complimenting his skills and hair. But when asked if he was rooting for the Patriots or the Philadelphia Eagles, he punted: ”Go, Pack, go,” he said, referencing the Green Bay Packers, who didn’t make the playoffs at all. Timberlake will be making his third Super Bowl musical appearance – a record. He first performed in 2001 when `N Sync performed alongside Britney Spears, Aerosmith , Mary J. Blige and Nelly. He praised Minneapolis-born Prince, calling the late superstar ”in my opinion, the greatest all-around musician I can think of in popular culture.” ”He’s a huge influence on me. … The time that I got to spend around him, with him, talking about music – those are memories that I will take with me forever because he’s always been such a big idol of mine,” Timberlake said. Timberlake has a new album, ”Man of the Woods,” out Friday and will host a listening party Thursday night at Paisley Park, Prince’s old estate. ”There’s a lot of bucket list things that are happening this week for me and that’s definitely at the top of that list,” he said. ”I get to walk the hallowed, sacred ground of Paisley Park.” Timberlake turned 37 years old on Wednesday, and some of the media serenaded him by singing ”Happy Birthday” at the Hilton Minneapolis’ Grand Ballroom. When asked if he would let his son Dalton Schultz Color Rush Jersey , Silas, perform at the Super Bowl and follow in his footsteps, Timberlake said, ”I’d rather not think about it because he’s about to turn three.” ”But (Silas) did come to rehearsals yesterday and I was shocked at how quickly he could cover 100 yards,” he said. ”Speed runs in our family. I’ve been running routes, too. I just want to throw this out there to (Patriots coach Bill) Belichick, `If all of your receivers go down I’ll be ready, so shoot me a text.”’ — Online: Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles was picked without being on the field. Bortles had his wallet stolen from his pickup truck Wednesday night in a bizarre robbery at teammate Brandon Linder’s home. Joseph Arthur Horton, 18, was charged with auto theft, auto burglary and trespassing, according to Duval County jail records. Jaguars guard Chris Reed told police he was walking up Linder’s driveway for a gathering when he saw someone inside Bortles’ truck Luke Glendening Jersey , according to the arrest report. Reed said he didn’t think anything of it and went inside. Surveillance video from Linder’s home showed someone getting inside Bortles’ truck and removing the quarterback’s wallet that was later found in the driveway. Bortles told police nothing appeared to have been taken. Surveillance video showed Horton sitting behind the wheel of the truck, starting it and moving it back and forth. But since there were numerous cars in the driveway, the truck could not be driven away. Horton got out and looked around before walking into the house. A few minutes later, Linder asked him who he was, the report said. The man answered ”Joe” and walked upstairs. Due to the large number of people in the house, Linder said he didn’t think anything was suspicious. A short time later, Linder found Horton upstairs, and when no one knew who he was, he called police. Bortles, Linder and Reed stayed with Horton until officers arrived, the report said. —

Much to his surprise Brett Favre Jersey , a $50 act of kindness made Arizona Cardinals tight end Jermaine Gresham an internet hero. "It was crazy," he said after the Cardinals went through voluntary workouts Tuesday. "I really wasn't expecting it." It all started when Gresham was standing in line behind Delilah Cassidy at an American Airlines gate at Los Angeles International Airport. He could hear her being told that under the airline's policy, she had to pay $25 for each of two carry-ons that wouldn't fit under her seat. She had cash but it wasn't accepted at the gate so she was in danger of missing her flight. So Gresham pulled out his credit card and paid, a random act of kindness. "That's pretty much what it was," he said. "I hope anyone would have done that. I don't know. I just felt that's how I was raised, my core values. Somebody in distress, just help them out. Nothing more, nothing less." To say Cassidy was grateful is an understatement. "She was very nice," Gresham said. "She was very, very, very appreciative. She thanked me I want to say maybe 20 times." She told azcentral that she was in tears as she boarded the plane. "I gave him this huge hug," she said. "I was crying into Jermaine Gresham. I didn't know it was him." Cassidy said that when they landed, she offered to pay him in cash but he declined and told her to pay it forward. She had her photo taken with Gresham and told her story on Twitter. It went viral. Gresham had no idea until he heard from a Cardinals employee who follows such things. "He said, 'You're a viral sensation,' I said , 'For what? I didn't get arrested,'" Gresham said. "He sent me this picture and everything and I was like, 'Oh, wow.'" He seemed surprised that what he considered a small gesture wound up being such a big deal. "I was right there," he said. "I had my wallet in my pocket. Just here, swipe my card. It's 50 bucks. Catch your flight. There wasn't much to it." Gresham, who is recovering from Achilles tendon surgery, said he made a great investment. "I hope everybody in the world would do something like that," Gresham said. "Seeing her smile and her appreciation was worth it 10 times over." Of course he couldn't escape some gentle ribbing from teammates. "That's the Walter Payton Man of the Year right there," offensive tackle D.J. Humphries said as he walked by. KIRK SPEAKS: Rookie wide receiver Christian Kirk spoke to reporters for the first time since reports surfaced of his Feb. 3 arrest outside the Waste Management Phoenix Open golf tournament on charges of destruction of property and disorderly conduct. He and a friend had been accused of throwing rocks at cars. Police said Kirk appeared intoxicated at the time. The charges were later dropped. "Obviously there was a negative response to it," Kirk, a second-round draft pick out of Texas A&M, said of the publicity surrounding the incident. "But you've just got to block those things out and hold true to who you are and move on." Kirk was a top high school prospect born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Cardinals said they knew of the arrest when they drafted him but said they were confident it was not indicative of a larger problem. "I told them the truth and they trusted in me, trusted in the type of person I was 49ers Mike McGlinchey Jersey ," he said. Now it's back to football on a team where he figures to play a significant role. "I'm just really happy it's all cleared up," Kirk said. "I'm just glad to be back and showing people I am what I am." Free-agent forward Tyler Ennis has signed a one-year , $650,000 deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs a week after having the final year of his contract bought out by the Minnesota Wild. Ennis signed on Friday and returns to the Atlantic Division, where he spent his first eight seasons playing for Buffalo. Though undersized at 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds, Ennis is a speedy, play-making forward who topped 20 goals in three of his nine NHL seasons. He joins his third team in two years after the Sabres traded him to Minnesota last summer. A series of injuries led to Ennis scoring just eight goals and 24 points in 84 games over his final two years in Buffalo. He had eight goals and 22 points in 73 games last season, and was due to make a $3.65 million salary next year before the Wild bought out the contract. The Maple Leafs are in need of low-priced, experienced forwards after signing former New York Islanders captain John Tavares to a seven-year, $77 million contract on Sunday. They also lost forwards James van Riemsdyk and Tyler Bozak in free agency. — SAN FRANCISCO — A beanball war between the Miami Marlins and San Francisco Giants has the potential to spill over into Wednesday’s series finale Authentic Cody Latimer Jersey , with neither manager saying the book was closed after there were three hit batsmen and two ejections Tuesday night. The ball will be in the hands of Marlins right-hander Jose Urena (2-8, 4.18 ERA) and Giants lefty Derek Holland (4-7, 4.48), with each team needing a victory to win the series after splitting a pair of emotional affairs the last two nights. The Giants avenged Monday’s 5-4 loss with a 6-3 victory on Tuesday that featured Buster Posey hitting a home run and then getting hit by a pitch in his next at-bat. It was exactly what Marlins manager Don Mattingly had promised when, in the top of the inning, he complained that both teams — not just the Giants — had received a warning when San Francisco starter Dereck Rodriguez hit Lewis Brinson with a pitch. After a heated exchange with the umpires, Mattingly could be seen telling Posey, “You’re next.” Giants manager Bruce Bochy then jumped out of the dugout Trey Hopkins Jersey , having heard Mattingly tell the umpires, “If not tonight, then tomorrow.” “I guess they thought they had to do something,” Bochy said of the Marlins, whose three-run, ninth-inning rally on Monday night included a key hit by Brinson, who celebrated by yelling at Giants closer Hunter Strickland on his way to first base. On his way to the dugout after recording his fourth blown save later in the inning, Strickland walked near Brinson and the two exchanged words again. Moments later Wes Horton Jersey , the emotional Strickland punched a door leading to the Giants’ clubhouse, breaking his right hand. He is expected to be out 6-8 weeks. The Giants suffered a similar injury last week in Miami when third baseman Evan Longoria broke a finger when hit by a pitch. Despite the warning and already down 3-0, Marlins starter Dan Straily hit Posey in the left shoulder in the bottom of the second inning, resulting in the ejection of both Straily and Mattingly. The feisty Marlins manager was seen patting Straily on the back as both headed down the runway toward the clubhouse after the ejections. “There’s some fuzzy math going on,” Bochy said when asked if he thought Straily’s retaliation evened the score for the Giants plunking Brinson. “I’ve got a third baseman out 6-8 weeks. And I got a guy (Kelby Tomlinson) hit in the back (Monday) night.” The veteran Giants skipper went on to say anything’s possible in the series finale. “We’re men,” he boasted. “This happens in baseball. It won’t be the last time.” Intention or no intention, the Marlins’ Urena has been troubled by hit batsmen this season, having already plunked eight batters Adidas Patrick Kane Jersey , tied for the fifth-most in the majors. He has faced the Giants three times in his career, twice as a starter, and has gone 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA. The Giants’ Holland, on the other hand, is about as unlikely to hit a batter as any pitcher in the game. He has plunked just one of the 306 guys he has faced this season. Holland has pitched just once in his career against the Marlins, and it was a disaster. Facing a lineup that included Hanley Ramirez and Giancarlo Stanton, Holland gave up five runs and four hits in two-thirds of an inning while pitching for Texas in 2011.

In any given NHL season , certain star players shine while others fade into obscurity. Many NHL players undergo a constant cycle of ups-and-downs in their storied careers, mostly because of the competitiveness and intensity that exists within the league. As players battle through adversity, they are bound to hit a wall called 'inconsistency.' Of course, the most elite NHL players often remain successful during their careers, while fringe NHL players experience stretches of misfortune and struggle. Also Kyle Turris Jersey , the emergence of rookie NHL players plays an additional factor as to who's successful and who's not. Some rookies may experience immediate prosperity in the NHL, while others may find it particularly difficult transitioning to the NHL. As a result, in each NHL season, there are bound to be certain players who perform to the highest degree of excellence, while others fail to impress and dwindle in the limelight. In today's article Youth Rick Leonard Jersey , we will take a comprehensive look at 8 NHL players who have exceeded expectations thus far, and 7 NHL players who have excruciatingly underperformed. Safety Keith Tandy, cornerback Josh Robinson and long snapper Garrison Sanborn were among 32 players let go by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the final cuts of training camp. In addition, the Bucs will place quarterback Jameis Winston on the reserve/suspended list and move linebacker Kendall Beckwith from the active/non-football injury list to the reserve/non-football injury list while trimming the roster to the season-opening limit of 53 players. Winston will miss the first three games of the season after violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. Beckwith is eligible to return to the active roster following Week 6. Meanwhile, linebackers Devante Bond and Riley Bullough were placed on injured reserve. Cornerback Amari Coleman and tackle Cole Gardner were waived injured in moves announced Saturday. There were no real surprises among 29 players waived Chiefs Elite Jerseys , including third-string quarterback Austin Allen, a rookie from Arkansas. The others included: receivers Bobo Wilson, Donteea Dye, Ervin Philips and Bernard Reedy; offensive lineman Cole Boozer; cornerbacks Javien Elliott and Marko Myers; defensive tackles Nathan Bazata and Adam Reth; linebackers Nigel Harris and Eric Nzeocha; defensive ends Demone Harris and Evan Perrizo; guard Ruben Holcomb; tight end Austin Johnson; offensive tackles Jarron Jones, Givens Price Madison Bowey Jersey , Brad Seaton and Jerry Ugokwe; defensive lineman Davonte Lambert; safeties Josh Liddell and Godwin Igwebuike; tight ends Tanner Husdon, Matt Weiser and Austin Johnson; running backs Dare Ogunbowale and Devine Redding; and long snapper Drew Ferris.

The Pro Bowl is headed back to Orlando , Florida. The NFL announced Friday that the all-star game will be played Jan. 27 at Camping World Stadium. It will be televised on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and simulcast on ABC. Tickets go on sale in the fall. Players on the winning Pro Bowl team will be eligible to receive a grant from the NFL Foundation to support the high school or youth football programs of their choice. ”Hosting the event in Orlando has allowed us to expand the Pro Bowl into a weeklong festival that celebrates the entire football community,” says Peter O’Reilly, the league’s senior vice president of events. Pro Bowl Week festivities in Orlando will include the NFL Flag Championship and the announcement of the Don Shula NFL High School Coach of the Year Award winner. — EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets‘ already intriguing quarterback competition just got a lot more interesting. Thanks to a poised Sam Darnold. And a sharp and healthy Teddy Bridgewater. Josh McCown is still No. 1 on the depth chart, but the other two quarterbacks made big-time statements in the Jets’ 17-0 preseason-opening victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Friday night. “We’ll see how the preseason goes,” coach Todd Bowles said after the game. “I’ll make my decision when it happens. I’m not going to jump to any conclusions after one game. I’m going to take my notes and watch practice and compare with the coaches and we’ll come up with a decision. It’s a tough decision. “We have three good players and we’re happy to have them.” Bowles has said that the competition could last through the fourth preseason game, and he didn’t back off that when asked if that were still the case. “Probably,” the coach said in his typically understated fashion. While Bowles isn’t about to start making any premature proclamations Kenneth Dixon Jersey , there was plenty for the Jets and their fans to get excited about. McCown played just one series and was replaced by Bridgewater, who led New York to scores on both of his possessions. Then, Darnold jogged onto the field at MetLife Stadium to an ovation befitting a guy considered by many to be the savior of the franchise. The No. 3 overall pick in the draft showed poise, accuracy, playmaking ability on the run and veteran-like cool in his NFL debut. “I thought I played pretty good,” Darnold said. “I think I just put the ball where it needed to be, tried to get it in the hands of our playmakers.” The former USC star finished 13 of 18 for 96 yards, including a touchdown pass to Charles Johnson during which he rolled right and zipped the football into the end zone to his receiver while on the run. That came after Darnold brushed off a drop and an offensive pass interference penalty — both on Johnson — leading to the score. “Poise. Again, the poise in the pocket Davon House Jersey ,” Bowles said. “Obviously, the touchdown throw. The scramble was very good use of his feet and accuracy, but he does that in practice all the time, so I can’t say it impressed me because we see it every day. Just his handling of game situations. There are things he can get better at, but it’s a good start for him.” Darnold was quick to point out a negative moment, namely when he was sacked by Jonathan Celestin in the fourth quarter. “I feel like I could’ve gotten that ball out on the shallow (route) there, but you live and you learn I guess,” he said. “So, I’m just going to watch the tape and see really what exactly happened on some of the plays Josh Jones Jersey , but I thought I did pretty well. I took care of the football, which was my main priority.” The Jets are giving Darnold every opportunity to win the starting job, and the rookie appeared well on his way to doing so while working with backups against the Falcons. New York takes on Washington next Thursday, and it remains to be seen how Bowles will split the snaps among the quarterbacks. The next step for Darnold might be playing with the starters. Bridgewater was also impressive in his Jets debut, showing flashes of the player who was a Pro Bowl selection with the Vikings before a severe knee injury sidelined him for most of the last two years. He looked comfortable and even took a hard shot during a play, immediately bouncing up from the turf. “It felt good getting hit again,” Bridgewater said with a smile. “You never want the quarterback getting hit, but for me, it was the final step of the process. Got hit Youth Kentavius Street Jersey , got right back up and it just served as a reminder that the game is still the same.” Bridgewater capped his first series with a touchdown toss to Isaiah Crowell, and led the Jets to a field goal on his second drive. He finished 7 of 8 for 85 yards, and looked every bit like a starting-caliber quarterback — for New York or perhaps another team as potential trade bait if Darnold continues to progress rapidly and leaves no doubt as to who should be under center when the Jets open the regular season at Detroit. “If you’re a football fan and you enjoy the sport, it’s fun to be a part of,” McCown said. “And to get a front-row seat and more importantly to just go out and want to see them accomplish the things that we talk about in our quarterback room on a daily basis is huge and they did that and so we couldn’t be happier. I’m really excited for them and now it’s back to work.”

Following a whirlwind opening night in the NFL draft Josh Sweat Color Rush Jersey , the Baltimore Ravens can kick back during the second round before getting down to business. On Day 2 of the draft, the Ravens have two third-round picks: the first one and No. 83 overall. At least that's how it stands now. If the first round taught us anything, it's that nothing can be taken for granted when Ozzie Newsome is calling the shots in the draft room. On Thursday night, Newsome twice traded back before picking South Carolina tight end Hayden Hurst at No. 25. Then Newsome jumped back into the fray after it seemed the Ravens were done. He swapped his second-round pick, a fourth-rounder and a 2019 second-round pick to the Eagles to get No. 32, which garnered Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson. So, heading into Friday Youth Jaleel Scott Jersey , the Ravens hope to garner success with the third-round pick they got from Buffalo on Thursday night and No. 83, which Newsome somehow found a way to retain. Having added a much-needed tight end and his quarterback of the future, Newsome and the Ravens can focus Friday addressing some of their other needs. A right tackle, a center, a wide receiver and a pass-rushing defensive end are among the priorities. "We got some really good opportunities," said assistant general manager Eric DeCosta, who will take over for Newsome in 2019. "We're in good shape." The Panthers have signed three potential starters in the second wave of free agency. Carolina signed safety Da'Norris Searcy and cornerback Ross Cockrell to two-year contracts on Friday and guard Jeremiah Sirles to a one-year deal. The financial terms were not released , although Cockrell's agency Reign Sports Management announced on Twitter his deal was worth $6.8 million. Searcy and Cockrell both have North Carolina ties and were teammates before with the Buffalo Bills in 2014. It didn't take them long to resume their trash talking with Searcy having played at North Carolina and Cockrell from rival Duke. "There has been plenty of it already," Cockrell joked on a conference call Friday. Added Searcy: "Oh yeah, it started when we got off the plane. We already played together and we carried that relationship over from Buffalo." All three free agents fill vacancies left from last season and could start for the Panthers in 2018. Searcy was brought in to compete for a starting safety position that opened up when the team released veteran Kurt Coleman. Searcy is a seven-year NFL veteran who spent the past three seasons with the Titans after four seasons (2011-14) with the Bills. His most productive season came in 2014 when he had 65 tackles and three interceptions. Searcy played in all 16 games last season for the Titans with six starts, recording 27 tackles, one quarterback pressure, one interception and two passes defensed. He also had six stops on special teams. He lost his starting job last season, but said he still sees himself as a starter. "Situations change Mark Andrews Jersey ," Searcy said. "I took it on the chin and still helped the team and played excellent when I was there. I will carry myself as a starter and let the chips fall where they may." Cockrell, a four-year NFL veteran, is expected to compete for the starting cornerback spot created when Panthers general manager Marty Hurney traded away Daryl Worley to the Eagles for wide receiver Torrey Smith earlier this month. "I am ready to come in and make plays on the ball," Cockrell said. That is what I do." Cockrell played in all 16 regular season games with nine starts for the Giants last season and led the team with 11 passes defensed. He also had 49 tackles and a career-high three interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown. He was drafted in the fourth round in 2014 and has played in 53 career games with 31 starts over his four-year career. Since entering the league he has recorded 153 total tackles, 32 passes defensed and five interceptions. It will be a homecoming for Cockrell, who grew up in the Charlotte area and played at Charlotte Latin High School. "It's a great pleasure to come back and rekindle some family ties John Kelly Color Rush Jersey ," Cockrell said. "This is great place to play football. We are not too far removed from a 15-1 season and a Super Bowl." Sirles enters his fifth season, having spent the past three with the Vikings and will have a chance to compete for the starting guard spot vacated when All-Pro Andrew Norwell signed with the New York Giants. Sirles has played in 30 career NFL games with 15 starts. He played in 14 regular season games with four starts last season for the Vikings, with all four coming at left guard. The 6-foot-6, 315-pound Sirles helped the Vikings rank seventh in the NFL in rushing yards with 122.3 yards per game. In his starts, Minnesota averaged 132 yards rushing yards per game, nearly 10 yards more than the season average. He started a career-high 10 games while playing in 14 in 2016. __

Titans linebacker Kevin Dodd has been placed on the ”did not report” list Albert Wilson Color Rush Jersey , putting his future with Tennessee in question. The first pick of the second round in 2016 out of Clemson, Dodd skipped voluntary offseason workouts before reporting for the team’s mandatory minicamp in June. Dodd has started only one of 18 games played over his first two seasons, but the Titans hiring Mike Vrabel as head coach in January appeared to be the perfect chance at a fresh start for Dodd with a new coaching staff and new defensive coordinator Dean Pees. Yet Dodd only reported to the Titans’ offseason program in June when staying away would have meant a fine. He declined to talk to reporters the two days players had access to players. Quarterbacks Marcus Foligno Jersey , rookies and players who finished the offseason program with injuries were required to report Sunday ahead of the rest of the Titans coming Wednesday with the team’s first practice Thursday. Linebacker Rashaan Evans, the No. 22 pick overall, was out with a ”non-football illness” along with wide receiver Michael Campanaro. Defensive tackle Mike Ramsay was listed as ”non-football injury.” As expected , starting right tackle Jack Conklin was placed on the physically unable to perform list. Conklin tore his left ACL in the team’s divisional playoff loss to the Patriots in January . Tight end Phillip Supernaw also was placed on the physical unable to perform list. — Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers ran into Falcons General Manager Thomas Dimitroff at the Minneapolis airport during Super Bowl week. Rodgers had a request of Dimitroff. “He just said to me, ‘We don’t know each other that well, but just get this deal done with Matt [Ryan] first so I can get on with my life Pittsburgh Steelers Jerseys Womens ,'” Dimitroff said during a guest appearance on Andrew Brandt’s The Business of Sports podcast, via Herbie Teope of NFL Media. Ryan signed a five-year, $150 million deal with $100 million guaranteed on May 3. The Packers hope soon to sign Rodgers to a long-term deal. Both sides hope to accomplish that before training camp begins. Rodgers is scheduled to make base salaries of $19.8 million in 2018 and $20 million in 2020 in the final two years of his deal.

Al Woods hears about the murmurs coming from anxious Indianapolis Colts' fans. They're worried that another new and improved defense may not live up to the billing after Russell Wilson led Seattle to a touchdown on his only drive in last week's game. More angst emerged Tuesday when the defense delivered a less-than-stellar performance in the final night practice of training camp. Add the historical perception of Indianapolis relying on its high-scoring offense to win Authentic DJ Chark Jersey , and it's enough to set off alarm bells even before camp ends this weekend. But Woods refuses to panic and instead urges fans to be patient as this unit finds its identity. "I think we're in a good place right now and I think we're going to find out a lot more tomorrow against the Ravens," the veteran defensive tackle said Thursday, referring to two joint practices scheduled this weekend. "I'm comfortable in any defense, but I really like this defense." He expects Colts' fans will, too. Nobody expected the transition from a 3-4 front to the more traditional 4-3 to go off without a hitch, especially given all the new faces, new assignments and lingering injuries. And it has been a challenge getting everybody on the same page. The conversion began with new coordinator Matt Eberflus installing his version of the "Tampa 2," moving linebackers John Simon, Jabaal Sheard and Tarell Basham to defensive end. It continued with some carefully choreographed moves in free agency and the draft. And while veterans such as Simon, Sheard, Woods and newly acquired Denico Autry, have pitched in Scott Hartnell Jersey , the rest of the defense remains a work in progress. "I think we've got a long way to go," Simon said. "I think we took more positives than negatives out of the (Seattle) game, and that's what we wanted to do 鈥?come out there and see good play when the pressure is on in that type of atmosphere against a pretty good offense. We took some positives, but I think we've still got a long way to go." One problem has been injuries. Starting safeties Clayton Geathers and Malik Hooker are just starting to round into shape after missing all of the Colts' offseason workouts and the start of camp while rehabbing from knee surgery. Geathers could play Monday night against Baltimore, though it appears Hooker may miss at least another week after tearing two ligaments in his right knee in October. The return of both forced Eberflus to recalibrate. "When they came back, we reset the whole defense and started from line one, first day install and redid all those walkthroughs again just for those guys," he said. "It was good for the younger guys to go through it again, so we kind of reset everything just for those guys." Safety hasn't been the only position hit hard. Young cornerbacks Pierre Desir, Quincy Wilson, Nate Hairston and Kenny Moore III are all playing expanded roles this season. Desir, now in his fifth pro season Joel Iyiegbuniwe Color Rush Jersey , is the dean of the secondary with 13 career starts. Defensive end Kemoko Turay (knee) and defensive tackle Tyquan Lewis (foot), both rookies, have spent most of the past two weeks trying to return from injuries. At linebacker, the depth chart appears even thinner. Rookie Darius Leonard, a second-round pick from South Carolina State, free agent signee Najee Goode and Anthony Walker currently hold the top spots on the depth chart. Leonard picked off Andrew Luck on the first day of camp and has shown flashes of play-making ability while Walker, in his second season, is the longest-tenured of the three. Naturally, there have been growing pains. "We've had a lot of different matchups as you guys have seen," Eberflus said. "We need to get that solidified so guys can start communicating, knowing each other and trusting each other as they go forward." The Colts believe they can fix it 鈥?in time. "Pass rush, run stop 49ers Dante Pettis Jersey , communication, coverage, I think that's the same thing for every defense," Simon said. "If you're not out here trying to get better every day, then I think you're in the wrong profession." Notes: The Colts have signed running back Tion Green and put William Ossai on the waived-non-football illness list. BOSTON — The Boston Bruins face an interesting decision entering the final weekend of the regular season starting Saturday when they host the Ottawa Senators. Do they go for the top spot in the Atlantic Division or provide rest for some of their battered and bruised troops against Ottawa and again on Sunday’s makeup game against the Florida Panthers? The Bruins lost Thursday night at Florida and were eliminated from the President’s Trophy race. The late loss also allowed the Tampa Bay Lightning to remain tied with Boston for first place in the division and Tampa Bay took a two-point lead with Friday night’s home win over the Buffalo Sabres. So, to finish first, the Bruins would have to sweep the Ottawa Senators and the Florida Panthers at home this weekend, while the Lightning failed to get two points at Carolina on Saturday night. The interesting angle on all this is wondering how the Bruins are better off. If they win the division, they would get one of three Metropolitan teams — the Columbus Blue Jackets, New Jersey Devils or the Philadelphia Flyers. If they finish second, it’s the Toronto Maple Leafs in a clash of the only two Original Six teams heading to the playoffs. The Bruins went 0-2-1 on their road trip that ended the road season. Bodies are in and out of the lineup and there is a feeling some could use some rest after dropping both games in Florida in regulation. “Hopefully we learn from (this) and hopefully we realize this is going to be the hockey we’re going to play,” Boston’s Patrice Bergeron said after Thursday night’s 3-2 loss. “If we want to play until June that’s how it’s going to be. We have to realize that and be better.” The Senators Ahkello Witherspoon Jersey , playing out the string like all the Canadian-based teams except the Maple Leafs are 2-3-0 in their last four games but 2-9-0 in their last 11. The Bruins have won all three of the games between the teams this season, one at TD Garden, where the Sens won all five games counting playoffs last year. The Senators lost in Pittsburgh Friday night. On Wednesday night, they won at Buffalo as the Sabres clinched the worst record in the league for the coming draft lottery. “We’re out there, we’re playing to win, we want to win as many games as we can and prove that we belong in the roles that we play,” Ottawa goaltender Craig Anderson said after the win in Buffalo. “We want to make sure we play for each other, we play for our fans, we play for the crest on the front. We know that all we can do is go out there and work hard and let the chips fall as they may.” Tuukka Rask and Anton Khudobin are likely to split the two weekend games for the Bruins, who are still waiting for the return of Rick and Riley Nash and Sean Karaly while others, like Zdeno Chara and Charlie McAvoy continue to shake off rust. Rask is 11-7-4 with a 2.17 goals against average and .925 save percentage in the regular season against the Senators but lost to them in last year’s playoffs. Khudobin is 5-0-1 with a 1.81 GAA and .948 save percentage against Ottawa. Anderson is 12-12-0 with a GAA of 3.05 and a .905 save percentage against Boston in the regular season and beat the Bruins in last year’s postseason. Mike Condon is 2-4-0 with 2.87 GAA and .907 save percentage against Boston. He defeated the Bruins in the Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro as a rookie.

The Panthers are planning to use C.J. Anderson as their feature back Adidas Jake Guentzel Jersey , leaving Christian McCaffrey in a similar role he had last season, Jourdan Rodrigue of the Charlotte Observer reports. Jonathan Stewart and McCaffrey combined for only 1,115 rushing yards last season, with quarterback Cam Newton leading the team in rushing. It’s why Stewart was released, and Anderson was signed. Anderson is coming off his first 1 Womens Le'Veon Bell Jersey ,000-yard rushing season, having rushed for 1,007 last season in Denver. He likely plays the traditional running back role in Norv Turner’s offense, according to Rodrigue. That means McCaffrey’s carries are expected to stay around the 117 he had last season, though he would like to up his average from the 3.7 he had in rushing for 435 yards. McCaffrey Daniel Winnik Jersey , the eighth overall choice in 2017, could get even more chances in the passing game. McCaffrey made 80 catches for 651 yards and five touchdowns last season as a rookie. The Panthers have Elijah Hood, Cameron Artis-Payne, Kenjon Barner and rookie Reggie Bonnafon competing for playing time behind Anderson and McCaffrey. Now that Le'Veon Bell and the Steelers have passed Monday’s deadline without a contract in place, Bell appears headed for unrestricted free agency in March. And he’ll hope to follow in the footsteps of someone he knows well: Kirk Cousins. Bell and Cousins were teammates at Michigan State Authentic Pernell McPhee Jersey , and now Bell is slated to do the same thing Cousins did: Play out his rookie contract, then play two years on the franchise tag, then cash in as a true unrestricted free agent. The value of the running back and quarterback positions means that, obviously, Bell won’t get anything close to the contract Cousins got from the Vikings this year. But Bell will hope that having the ability to shop himself to all 32 teams will put him in a position where he’s able to command more guaranteed money than any running back has previously received. Bell will need to stay healthy in 2018 and not show any signs that he could be losing a step. If he does that Adidas Corey Perry Jersey , he could re-set the running back market.

The New York Jets have signed their last two sixth-round draft picks in cornerback Parry Nickerson and defensive lineman Folorunso Fatukasi. The signings Sunday leave just three of the Jets' six selections without contracts: quarterback Sam Darnold Ryan Strome Jersey , the No. 3 overall pick; third-rounder Nathan Shepherd, a defensive lineman from Fort Hays State; and fourth-rounder Chris Herndon, a tight end from Miami. Running back Trenton Cannon, a sixth-rounder from Virginia State, was signed Friday. Nickerson had 18 interceptions in 48 games at Tulane and is expected to contribute in the secondary and on special teams. Fatukasi had 14 sacks in 48 games at UConn and will add depth to the Jets' defensive line. New York also announced it signed undrafted rookie linebackers Frankie Luvu and Anthony Wint, and waived cornerback Reggie Hall and defensive tackle Lord Hyeamang. Taylor Lewan practiced Thursday Alexander Kerfoot Jersey , but the offensive tackle did not participate in team drills, according to Terry McCormick of Lewan said he would return to practicing fully once his contract is done. Kevin Pamphile filled in for Lewan on the first team, with Dennis Kelly at right tackle. Lewan is scheduled to play on a fifth-year option worth $9.341 million, but talks are progressing on a long-term deal. He could pass Nate Solder as the NFL’s highest-paid offensive lineman, with Solder getting a four-year, $62 million deal with $35 million guaranteed from the Giants as a free agent. “There were a lot of things going through my head Paul Stastny Jersey ,” Lewan said about his decision to report. “This is the first time I’ve got through [this]. I’m 27 years old. I love this team, and I love the guys on this team. This franchise has been really good to me. But at the end of the day, the most important thing is my family, having a baby, having a wife, and looking out for their best interest. “. . . I really didn’t know [whether he was going to show up]. It was going to be more of a game-time decision for me. I thought it would be in my best interest as a player Gordie Howe Jersey , more than anything else, to come out here and be able to get those individual drills and sharpen those skills because this is the first year of the offense.” Lewan returned to the team after skipping the team’s mandatory minicamp in an effort to speed up the pace of contract talks. “I don’t want to downplay anything, because this is the NFL and you need to sharpen your skills,” Lewan said. “We’re talking about three days in June. We’re in late July now, August. This is an extremely important time. Obviously camp is a grind. Terrelle Pryor is hoping for a Big-Apple bounce-back with the Jets. The former Washington wide receiver signed with New York after one disappointing season with the Redskins. The Jets announced the signing Sunday. Terms of the deal J.T. Miller Jersey , which were agreed to on Thursday night, were not immediately known. Pryor had free agent visits with both New York and Seattle, and also had interest from Cleveland, before he agreed to sign with the Jets. ”I’m so happy to be a part of this organization and this team, this young team,” Pryor said in a video posted on the team’s Twitter page . ”I’m excited. It’s time to get to work. Jet up!” Pryor, who turns 29 in June, gives the Jets some depth at wide receiver, where they also have Jermaine Kearse, Quincy Enunwa and Robby Anderson, along with second-year pros Chad Hansen and ArDarius Stewart. Anderson’s status is uncertain Authentic Marcus Johansson Jersey , however, after he was arrested in Florida in January on several charges, including threatening a police officer’s family and saying he would rape the officer’s wife. He was also arrested last May and charged with resisting arrest after sparring with officials who asked him to leave a Miami music festival. His hearing has been postponed until August. ”I am really hopeful Robby will put this thing behind him and be the kind of all-around person that will make people proud to wear (his) No. 11 jersey,” Jets acting owner Christopher Johnson said Sunday at the NFL meetings. ”I haven’t talked with the coaches about Robby. I honestly think he is remorseful and trying to get himself in a better place. I believe him.” Pryor signed a one-year, $6 million deal with Washington last year after having a breakout season with Cleveland in 2016, when he had 77 catches for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns in his first year as a full-time wide receiver. He was being counted on to replace the departed receiving duo of Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson, but injured an ankle in Week 2 and tried to play through it. He finished the year on injured reserve and had ankle surgery, ending the season with just 20 catches for 240 yards and one touchdown. He had more than three catches in a game just once last year – in the season opener – and Washington allowed Pryor to leave as a free agent. The former Ohio State quarterback-turned-receiver now has a chance to return to form as a potential deep threat for the Jets in new coordinator Jeremy Bates’ offense. This marks the latest stop in what has been a wild football journey for Pryor, who has also spent time with Oakland, Seattle Youth Evgeni Malkin Jersey , Kansas City and Cincinnati in the NFL. Pryor, a top high school recruit from southwestern Pennsylvania, was the starting quarterback for Ohio State from 2008-10 and became one of college football’s most exciting players. He threw for 6,177 yards and 57 touchdowns and ran for 2,164 yards and 17 scores in three seasons with the Buckeyes. But Pryor withdrew from Ohio State in June 2011 after a memorabilia-for-cash-and-tattoos scandal that resulted in a five-game suspension and ultimately led to coach Jim Tressel’s resignation. Two months later, Pryor was selected by Oakland in the NFL supplemental draft. He played in just four games during his first two seasons with the Raiders, including one start at quarterback. Pryor started nine games in 2013 with shaky results, throwing for two TDs and 11 interceptions before being benched in favor of Matt McGloin following a sprained knee ligament earlier in the season. Pryor was traded to Seattle before the 2014 NFL draft, but was among the Seahawks‘ final cuts. He sat out the entire season despite having workouts with several teams. Kansas City signed him in January 2015, but then released him five months later. Pryor briefly joined Cincinnati, but was again cut – and then announced that he would be willing to play wide receiver on a full-time basis. Cleveland claimed Pryor off waivers and he played in three games for the Browns Mika Zibanejad Jersey , who named him a starter at wide receiver the following season. Despite still being raw at the position, Pryor’s athleticism and versatility was on full display in 2016 as he led the Browns in receptions, yards receiving, TD catches, yards per game and yards per catch. In a game at Miami, he became the first player since Hall of Famer Frank Gifford of the Giants in 1959 to have at least 120 yards receiving (144), 30 yards passing (35) and 20 yards rushing (25) in a game. He also played a snap at safety and became the first player since San Francisco’s Billy Kilmer in 1964 to have three catches, carries and passes in a game. With the Jets, Pryor is reunited with two teammates from that Cleveland team: quarterback Josh McCown and running back Isaiah Crowell. Pryor parlayed his promising season with the Browns into a nice payday with the Redskins, and things started off well as he had six catches for 66 yards in the opener. But his production was inconsistent from that point before the ankle injury ended his season – and, it turned out Authentic Artturi Lehkonen Jersey , his tenure in Washington – after Week 11. — The Los Angeles Rams will get to make up for lost time with eight picks on Day 3 of the NFL draft on Saturday. With four picks in both the fourth and sixth rounds, the Rams will have plenty of chances to address needs in the defensive front seven. The Rams have to replace outside linebackers Robert Quinn and Connor Barwin, who combined for 13.5 sacks last season, and inside linebacker Alec Ogletree, who led the team with 95 tackles. Head coach Sean McVay identified replenishing depth throughout the roster as another goal, something they accomplished with their lone selection so far by taking TCU offensive tackle Joe Noteboom in the third round. Noteboom could serve as the swing tackle while being groomed as the eventual successor to Andrew Whitworth at left tackle. Special teams contributions will also be a priority as several core players are expected to fill larger roles this season. — Youth Denver Broncos Jerseys

The Washington Redskins have shored up their offensive line by re-signing swing tackle Ty Nsekhe and interior lineman Tony Bergstrom and exercising the fifth-year option on starting right guard Brandon Scherff's contract. The Redskins announced the deals Monday as they began their offseason program. The signings ensure depth along the line for at least next season. A two-time Pro Bowl selection , Scherff is now signed through 2019. Washington's first-round pick in 2015 has started 46 regular-season games and one playoff game. Nsekhe, who was a restricted free agent, started five games at left tackle in place of injured Pro Bowl lineman Trent Williams last season. The 32-year-old has appeared in 42 games and started 11. Bergstrom joined the Redskins last season, starting three games and appearing in nine after starting with Baltimore. The Bengals put quarterback Matt Barkley on injured reserve Youth Kevin Labanc Jersey , leaving Jeff Driskel as the backup to Andy Dalton heading into the season. Barkley hurt his left knee during the Bengals' preseason finale Thursday night against Indianapolis. Kemoko Turay hit Barkley in the legs after he threw a pass, drawing a roughing-the-passer penalty. Barkley left to get the knee examined and didn't return. Driskel is a third-year player who broke the thumb on his passing had in the final preseason game last year and sat out the season. He has never appeared in an NFL game. The Bengals also waived seventh-round pick Logan Woodside, who is eligible to be signed to the practice squad if he clears waivers on Sunday. The backup quarterback spot opened when AJ McCarron won his grievance and became a free agent after last season. The Bengals also released 10th-year defensive end Michael Johnson as part of their moves to get down to the 53-man limit, although it could be a temporary separation. Johnson becomes a free agent and could re-sign with Cincinnati for lesser money. Johnson has played all but one of his nine seasons with Cincinnati. He led the defensive line with 49 tackles and five sacks last season. The Bengals have infused young pass rushers into their rotation Gabriel Landeskog Jersey Kids , including Carl Lawson and Jordan Willis. Coach Marvin Lewis described Johnson as "one of those pillars who has been here and given everything he can." Lewis indicated the Bengals are open to his return as they shape the roster over the next few days. The move with Johnson came four days after the Bengals gave multiyear extensions to defensive end Carlos Dunlap and tackle Geno Atkins. The deals would pay more than $100 million combined if all terms are met. The Bengals allowed cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones to leave as a free agent in the offseason and released safety George Iloka, making the defense younger while saving money. Jones signed with Denver, and Iloka signed with Minnesota. H-back Ryan Hewitt and center T.J. Johnson also were released on Saturday. Hewitt was primarily a blocker 鈥?no carries and two catches last season 鈥?while Johnson became expendable when the Bengals drafted center Billy Price in the first round. Linebacker Vontaze Burfict went on the suspended list. He'll miss the first four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances, the third year in a row that he's suspended for the start of a season. Cincinnati opens the season on Sunday Jordan Staal Jersey , Sept. 9 at Indianapolis, which expects to have Andrew Luck back at quarterback for the first time in more than 20 months. Luck has recovered from a shoulder injury that required surgery. The teams played in the regular season last year as well, with the Bengals winning 24-23 at Paul Brown Stadium on Dunlap's interception return for a touchdown. Youth Denver Broncos Jerseys

Infielder Tim Beckham has been activated from the disabled list by the last-place Baltimore Orioles Ryan Murray Jersey , who finally have the starting lineup they anticipated when spring training started. Beckham batted .179 with one homer and four RBIs in 23 games before going on the DL with a groin strain in April. After undergoing core surgery, he missed two months. ”I don’t want to think about what was going on before the injury,” Beckham said Monday. ”I’m here now, I’m healthy and I’m ready to play some ball.” Beckham said he had been playing with pain long before he was traded from Tampa Bay to Baltimore last July. ”It’s something I battled through for years,” he said. ”You have to play through injuries sometimes. That’s the situation I was in at Tampa.” With Beckham back Brian Gibbons Jersey , the Orioles started all their front-line players for the first time Monday night against Seattle. The lineup included Jonathan Schoop, Mark Trumbo and Colby Rasmus, all of whom have spent extensive time on the disabled list. Baltimore began the day with a 23-53 record. ”It’s been a long (76) games, but I’m glad to see everybody back,” said first baseman Chris Davis Authentic Kyle Quincey Jersey Kids , who recently sat out eight games in an effort to shake a lengthy slump. ”I’m glad to see everyone back.” Beckham returns after playing in seven minor league games on his rehabilitation assignment. ”Our record doesn’t look good right now, but we have a really good ball club,” Beckham insisted. ”For everyone to be healthy and in the lineup tonight. It’s a good feeling.” To make room for Beckham, the Orioles optioned reliever Donnie Hart to Triple-A Norfolk and moved infielder Luis Sardinas (back strain) to the 60-day disabled list. — The Los Angeles Chargers have retained defensive coordinator Gus Bradley and offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt. The Chargers announced the return of head coach Anthony Lynn’s top two assistants Tuesday. Continuity on the coaching staff was a major offseason goal for Lynn and general manager Tom Telesco after the Chargers (9-7) barely missed the playoffs in their relocation season. Los Angeles won nine of its final 12 games, including five straight at StubHub Center. Bradley was a hot commodity in the offseason coaching market after putting together one of the NFL’s top defenses in his first season with the Chargers. Their 17 points allowed per game was third-best in the league Sven Baertschi Jersey , and they ranked among the leaders with 43 sacks and 18 interceptions. The former Jacksonville head coach joined Los Angeles on a one-year contract last winter. Whisenhunt’s powerful offense ranked fourth in the NFL with 376.6 yards per game, with quarterback Philip Rivers enjoying a resurgent 4,515-yard season alongside 1,393-yard receiver Keenan Allen and 1,105-yard rusher Melvin Gordon. Whisenhunt Bobby Orr Jersey , the former Arizona and Tennessee head coach, rejoined the Chargers in 2016, one year before Lynn became their head coach. — Womens Indianapolis Colts Jerseys
  15. Browns receiver Josh Gordon entered the NFL via the supplemental draft more than six years ago. But he has yet to qualify for restricted free agency. Now Bryan Little Jersey , he’s only two days away from not qualifying for restricted free agency, again. Because he’s on the reserve/did not report list, a failure by Gordon to report by August 7 will keep him from earning a year of credit toward free agency. Which will continue to keep him at only two years of credit toward free agency. And that will tie him to the Browns at least through 2019. Gordon secured his two years of credit toward free agency in 2012 and 2013, his first two NFL seasons. In 2014, the NFL suspended Gordon 10 games under the substance-abuse policy. Then, the team suspended him for one game at the end of the season. That kept him at five games for the year, which kept him at two years of credit toward free agency. Then came Gordon’s extended suspension, wiping out 2015. In 2016, Gordon entered rehab on the brink of a reinstatement that would have become effective in early October. Gordon eventually was reinstated during the 2017 season, but (coincidentally and perhaps conveniently) he played in only five games, keeping him once again at two years of credit. In 2018, the number of games he plays won’t matter if he fails to report by Tuesday, August 7, 30 days before the launch of the regular season. Per Article 8, Section 1(b) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement Nathan MacKinnon Jersey , “A player shall not receive an Accrued Season for any League Year in which the player is under contract to a Club and in which he failed to report to such Club at least thirty days prior to the first regular season game of that season.” The Browns originally announced that Gordon would be placed on the non-football illness list. Then the team reversed course, opting for reserve/did not report list. Which means he failed to report. Which means that if he doesn’t report at least 30 days before the September 6 regular-season opener between the Falcons and Eagles, he’ll once again be stuck at two years of service, even if he appears in all 16 regular-season games in 2018. Which means that the Browns will be able to keep him in 2019, with no opportunity for Gordon to leave via restricted or unrestricted free agency. Ron Gardenhire didn’t mind getting a beer shower from his players Wednesday night. He just didn’t know why it was happening. ”They ambushed me, and they really got me,” he said after his Detroit Tigers beat the Minnesota Twins 5-2. ”I wasn’t expecting it, and now I’m dripping all over the place.” While Gardenhire didn’t realize he had just won his 1,100th game as a manager, someone – he suspects bench coach Steve Liddle – tipped off James McCann. McCann rounded up his teammates and raided the cooler. ”We soaked him,” Tigers third baseman Nicholas Castellanos said. ”He didn’t know what hit him.” The milestone had a little extra meaning for Gardenhire because it came against the Twins, the team he managed from 2002-14. ”I have this big D on my chest now, and it was the Tigers who won this one, but an awful lot of them came with the team on the other side of the diamond tonight,” he said. For most of the night Wayne Gretzky Jersey , it appeared the Tigers weren’t going to get the win. Playing for the first time since Miguel Cabrera’s season-ending biceps injury, they stranded eight batters in the first seven innings and trailed 2-1. The Twins then failed to add an insurance run in the eighth, stranding Eduardo Escobar after a one-out triple, and it came back to haunt them. With one out in the bottom of the inning, John Hicks, Niko Goodrum and Grayson Greiner hit consecutive singles off Addison Reed (1-5) to tie the game. Jose Iglesias popped out, but Victor Reyes grounded an RBI single to left. ”I had everyone where I wanted them – 0-1 or 0-2 – but I wasn’t finishing the job,” Reed said. ”Jose (Berrios) threw a hell of a game, and I let him down. That’s the worst part of this.” Reyes, a Rule 5 pick, started the night hitting .196 with four RBIs in 30 games. Used mainly as a pinch runner, he has only accumulated 50 plate appearances. ”We were going to be thrilled no matter who got the hit, but everyone feels great for Victor,” Hicks said. ”He’s in a really tough situation because he doesn’t get many at-bats, but he never complains and works harder than anyone.
