Interesting days these.  According to Aston Martin’s website, the British automaker will reveal a limited edition Aston Martin (Aston) branded motorcycle at EICMA.  The only image they have released thus far is the featured image you see at the top of the page.

Brough Superior collaboration

The bike is in partnership with British motorcycle manufacturer Brough Superior (Brough). Brough has a long and storied history and is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

There’s not much information on the new machine at this point.  But Aston points out that both brands have a luxury heritage.  They claim that they both offer bespoke designs and engineering solutions, which allows them to build something special.

While Aston Martin hasn’t released any photos of the new bike, perhaps Brough’s website can give us an idea.  Brough is already producing three models, and one of those models, the “Anniversary” does look similar to Aston’s sketch.

Designer quotes

The motorcycle is the combined vision of two motorcycle enthusiasts.  Aston Martin Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman and Brough Superior CEO Thierry Henriette contributed to the bike’s design.

Reichman said:

“This is a fascinating and very popular project for myself and my team. The opportunity to collaborate with Brough Superior has given us the chance to bring our own unique views on how beauty and engineering can combine to create a highly emotive piece of vehicle design. We’re excited about the end result and can’t wait to see the reaction the motorcycle receives when it is revealed next year.”

The bike’s other designer, Henriette said:

“Aston Martin and Brough Superior are two luxury automotive manufacturers sharing the same passion for exclusive design and performance, the idea of developing a motorcycle in a frame of a close partnership came naturally.”

So, we’ll have to wait a while to see the actual machine.  Aston will provide the full details of its limited-edition motorcycle at EICMA on November 5th.
