advrider Adaugat pe 29 Iunie, 2020 Share Adaugat pe 29 Iunie, 2020 According to Motorcycle.com, Indian says that its “EFTR” trademark application is not for use with an electric version of its popular FTR 1200 flat track replica. Instead, Motorcycle.com offered the following quote from an Indian the Indian Motorcycles team PR team: “The trademark application upon which Motorcycle.com based a recent story written by Dennis Chung on June 10, is related to a new youth-oriented product that will be unveiled later this year, and is not related to a new electric version of the FTR 1200.” So that’s a pretty clear statement that the EFTR will not be used for an electric FTR 1200. However, Indian’s trademark application says EFTR is being registered for “electric motorcycles and structural parts thereof.” If that’s the case, what does Indian’s recent statement really mean? Given that the newest blurb says that the EFTR trademark will be for a new youth-oriented machine, the first thing that comes to mind is a bike aimed at competing with Harley-Davidson’s Iron-e line of kids balance bikes. But if the trademark is for use with a balance bike, would Indian use the term “motorcycle” in its trademark application? Could it be that the EFTR will be a Honda Monkey type bike or something similar? Would an electric Honda Monkey-ish type pit bike be interesting? Still, there’s that “youth-oriented product” in Indian’s latest announcement, so what will be bike be? It’s still not clear. But one thing is for sure. We won’t have to wait that long to find out. Indian says that the machine is coming out later this year. My guess is that the EFTR will be one step up from an electric balance bike. Such a bike will be a further encroachment into Harley’s electric kid bike territory. Time will tell. Vezi sursa Citează Link către comentariu Distribuie pe alte site-uri
