advrider Adaugat pe 1 Iulie, 2020 Share Adaugat pe 1 Iulie, 2020 Kawasaki continues to tinker with next-generation motorcycle artificial intelligence systems, with word of a new onboard electronic system that adjusts your bike’s safety systems to match your riding. MoreBikes reports Kawasaki has patented a new AI system that uses input from a wide array of sensors to automatically regulate how much interference you get from your bike’s ABS and traction control systems. Using GPS chips, lasers, cameras and onboard seat and footpeg sensors to determine lane position and other factors, the AI will govern your motorcycle’s safety system to match your riding situation. The AI program can tell when you need to set up for a tight corner, or sense when the rider is moving around on the bike in preparation for a turn, or when some other factors are changing and requiring the motorcycle’s safety systems to adapt. It’s likely part of Kawasaki’s Rideology system, an AI system that’s intended to not only provide smarter onboard safety systems, but also match your motorcycle’s capabilities to your emotions. Kawasaki’s been working on this system for several years now, and has teased aspects of it, even incorporating basic features into some of its motorcycles. However, the end goal of this program is something truly sci-fi, and we’re a long way from seeing it fully realized. But, systems like this are a start. Kawasaki is likely going to tie this auto-regulated safety system into some sort of adaptive cruise control design, which is something else we know the company’s working on. Wild times indeed, and the rest of the OEMs have a lot of catching up to do, if they want to match the exciting tech that Kawi is releasing and working on these days. MoreBikes doesn’t say where they spied this patent, by the way. No doubt it’s on a Japanese patent or IPO registry, if you’re able to decipher those websites–we’re not able to do that, unfortunately. Google Translate will only take you so far … Vezi sursa Citează Link către comentariu Distribuie pe alte site-uri
