Advpulse
Published on 10.31.2020 A few weeks ago, KTM lifted the covers on their new race-inspired 890 Adventure R and 890 Adventure R Rally machines. The higher-spec Rally version however, was announced as a limited-edition model, restricted to a run of just 700 units worldwide, with only 200 of those reserved for the American market. Now there is word from the Austrian manufacturer that the race to own one of these exclusive units is heated. KTM has announced that within less than 48 hours of opening pre-orders outside America, all 500 of the units destined for the international market were sold. According to KTM, “those still interested needn’t give up hope just yet” though. The orange marque has created a waiting list online to allow interested buyers a chance to scoop one of these exclusive machines “should any previous reservation be cancelled.” ADVERTISEMENT For those in North America, get ready to be one of the first to click on the order button, if you are in the market for one of these exclusive units. KTM is opening pre-orders of the remaining 200 models for the USA and Canada on November 2nd, 10:30am PDT at KTM.com. Pricing for the U.S. has not been officially announced yet, but we have seen some reports that it will be $19,999 USD, $500 more than last year’s 790 Adventure R Rally. The limited-edition KTM 890 Adventure Rally features a 899cc powerplant pumping out 105 horsepower and 73.76 ft-lbs of torque. It gets WP PRO components on par with those found on the full-factory RALLY machine and a host of premium parts from the top shelf of the KTM PowerParts catalog.
