advrider
The veritable comfortable sofa of long-distance motorcycling receives refinements for 2021. In a press release, Honda is announcing several updates to its long-distance machine, the Gold Wing. This year, the bike receives refinements that are designed to deliver improved comfort and convenience for long-distance touring. Among the improvements is a capacity increase for the Gold Wing Tour version’s trunk. The redesign sees the trunk’s capacity increased to now “easily accept” two full-face helmets. For your pillion’s comfort, the rear seat on the Tour model is now more comfortable. To help make the miles melt away even more quickly, the bike’s speakers get more power for 2021. They now have a higher 55-watt rating. Now that Honda has upped the volume ante’, it has also made Android Auto and Apple CarPlay™ available in all Gold Wing models. You’ll also have your choice of both manual transmission and Honda’s exclusive automatic DCT transmission on most model variants. The 2021 Goldwing gets some new styling updates and changes to finishes. The bike’s rear taillights are now solid red and a new paint choice. You now also have the ability to choose Deep Pearl Grey with orange accent striping on Gold Wing non-trunk models. The base price of the 2021 Wing is $23,900. With Automatic DCT the bike retails for $25,100. The Tour model and its new trunk will set you back $28,300, while the Tour with Automatic DCT retails for $29,300. And, for the ultimate Gold Wing, the fully loaded Tour Airbag Automatic DCT model has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $32,600. All prices do not include a $450 destination charge.
