We recently told you that Honda is evaluating whether to export its new H’ness CB350 globally.  Apparently, Honda has made its first decision and Japan will be the first country outside of India to get the new H’ness based GB350.

GB350 versions

The bike will receive some subtle styling changes for the Japanese market and will be called the GB350.  It will come in two variants, the GB350 and the GB350 S.  Nonetheless, the bike is still based on the H’ness CB350.

GB350

The standard Honda GB350.

Officially, the standard version will launch on April 22nd, 2021.  The GB 350 S will arrive later, potentially July 15th, 2021.

Both versions feature H’ness retro classic styling using modern components.  You can expect both bikes to come with a full LED lighting system, a combination of digital and analog instrumentation, HSTC, Honda’s traction control system, and dual-channel ABS at both the front (310mm)and rear (240mm) discs.

Features

Both machines come with a double-cradle frame hosting the H’ness’ 348cc, air-cooled, four-stroke, thumper engine.  It will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox to transfer the bike’s approximately 20 hp to the rear wheel.

For suspension, the bike gets a traditional right-way-up telescopic fork with boots over the fork leg sliders.  At the rear, dual pre-load adjustable nitrogen-charged shocks handle the damping duties.

GB350 S

The “S” version.

The GB350 S differs from its sibling with a wider rear tire (150/70), tuck and roll seat upholstery, black finished muffler, a small skid plate, underseat tail light, and more streamlined turn signals.

Pricing

The Honda GB350 carries a ¥550,000 (~$4,969) price tag.  Its slightly more upscale version, the GB350 S will arrive with a price of ¥594,000 (~$5,365).

What other countries Honda will export the CB350 to is still unclear.  However, if sales take off in Japan, it can only serve to entice the Japanese manufacturer to export the bike to other parts of the world.
