Royal Enfield Himalayan Receives Range of Updates for 2022

Since its introduction in 2016, the Himalayan has gained popularity as an affordable and versatile machine. And now the ‘little adventure bike that could’ has gotten even better. Following a set of key changes last year, Royal Enfield North America has announced the launch of the 2022 model with new features that improve its versatility and riding experience.

One of the most notable upgrades for 2022 is a simple and intuitive Tripper Navigation system. Designed with the Google Maps Platform, the built-in display device offers turn-by-turn directions, and pairs with the rider’s smartphone by way of the Royal Enfield App.

The new model also receives several ergonomic upgrades, including a revised seat with optimized cushioning and a new windscreen to keep more wind off the rider for improved all-day comfort. For even better ergos, a new slimmer and ergonomically adjusted front rack offers a more spacious cockpit with minimal interference in the leg area, further improving the overall comfort and experience.

The rear carrier on the 2022 Himalayan is also revised, now with an additional plate to ensure secure fastening and placement of luggage. Additionally, the rear carrier is now reduced in h, making it easier for riders to swing a leg over the motorcycle.

The new Himalayan will be available in new Granite Black (mix of matte and gloss), Mirage Silver and Pine Green, in addition to the existing colorways: Rock Red, Lake Blue and Gravel Grey. The bike is expected to hit dealerships in North America as early as November, and will retail for $5,299 USD.
