advrider
Noted motorcycle designer Oberdan Bezzi keeps cranking out interesting “design proposals” for a range of different bikes. Not too long ago, he inked a design proposal for an updated Moto Guzzi V85 TT adventure bike. At the time, he called it the V 90 TTR. His proposal gave the V 85 TT increased displacement and power as well as a 21 inch and 18-inch wheelset with knobby tires. In addition, the Bezzi design gave the V 85 TT more suspension travel and a rear-mounted auxiliary tank for better range. All in all, it was a good-looking design proposal that could potentially have better off-road chops than the V 85 TT. Nothing has come of Bezzi’s V 85 TT design proposal, and Moto Guzzi hasn’t seen fit to update the V 85 TT since its introduction in 2019. But sales have been good, and the V 85 has gained a substantial following. That said, it would be nice to see the bike get some updating for additional capability, as Bezzi’s designs suggest. And Bezzi isn’t one to sit on his designs. So he has come up with another design proposal version for the V 85 TT. He calls this one the V 90 TTL. And it seems to be an even more aggressive version than the V 90 TTR. The V 90 TTL gains in potential performance and sheds unnecessary plastic and weight. It resembles a bike from a certain Austrian manufacturer with the initials K. T. M. Can you say Super Enduro? To me, Bezzi’s latest V 85 TT proposal packs a silhouette similar to the orange company’s now discontinued machine. And that machine was a hoot to ride. So what do you think of Bezzi’s latest Moto Guzzi design proposal? Would you be interested in a similar machine? Or should it remain what it presently is, just a design proposal?
