advrider
Make your way to Quiet Oaks Campground in Cross Fork, PA, for a bit of camping and two-wheeled adventure at the BYOB 2022 Rally. Enjoy many miles of gravel roads and twisty black top roads to ride, whatever suits your riding style. Beginners are welcome. Rumour has it that there will be beer and bourbon by the campfire for your relaxing pleasure. “Just show up. They’ll have a spot for you.” is the theme on the ADVRider thread for the four-day camping weekend, but be sure to mention you are attending the BYOB rally with the Adventure Riders group. There are limited cabins on-site for those of you who aren’t camping, and you can find accommodations one mile down the road. Sportsman’s is just outside Renovo, and Summerton’s is in North Bend. From the campground website, “Quiet Oaks Campground is a small, family-owned and operated campground in Central Pennsylvania offering full RV hookups, cabin rentals, and rustic tenting. All cabins and campsites are Pet Friendly.” Quiet Oaks cabins and campsites are in the heart of the Pennsylvania Wilds with access to hiking, fishing, hunting, ATV riding, or relaxing. Their 100 acres consist of part field and part woodland. There are plenty of things to see and do for anyone who has never been to the area. For example, Kinzua Bridge, Austin Dam Memorial (41°39′11″N 78°5′8″W), Quehanna Wild Area, PA Grand Canyon (Pine Creek Gorge), the plane crash site near Leetonia, and Hyner View. You can use debit or credit cards to pay for your stay, but bring cash for the honor system cash box for firewood and ice. Previous campers have mentioned that you will need cash for breakfast, around $10. And to purchase breakfast, you fill out a menu slip with your name at the top, select your menu items below, and leave the slip on the counter. Put your cash in the drawer and make change if necessary. Quiet Oaks isn’t a fast-food joint, so be patient! According to the organizers, there is no ATT cell service, Verizon has full cell service, and there is WIFI available BYOB 2022Cross Fork, Pa.June 9-10-11-12Thursday through Sunday Quiet Oaks Campground88 Quiet oaks Campground Lane#9430 Cross Fork, Pa. 177291-570-927-2797www.quietoaks.org Vezi sursa
