Chris Birch is one of the world’s top competition enduro riders (winner and multiple podiums at Red Bull Romaniacs, winner at Roof of Africa, national New Zealand enduro champ, Dakar competitor, etc.). He’s also one of the best-known off-road instructors in the world, having taught his Say No To Slow around the world over the past few years… but mostly in his home country of New Zealand, or in Australia and even Canada. Now, Birch is scheduled to appear in the US this summer, brought in via Moto Adventure Tours.

The sign-up page offers six separate training programs with Birch this year, in August and September. It lists a maximum of 15 riders per course, with a second instructor to ensure proper teacher-to-student ratios. It also offers single-day riding tours, where you’d presumably learn quite a bit from watching Birch in action. See some info below:

We have two awesome locations that we are using – one is KTM World – Highland Park Resort in Cedartown in Georgia, and Jorgensen Powersports in Utah.

Weekday sessions are $1000pp and weekend sessions are $1200pp

Georgia: 24/25 August. Intermediate riders. $1000pp
Georgia: 27/28 August Advanced riders. $1200pp (weekend session)
Georgia: 31 Aug/1 Sep. Intermediate riders. $1000pp
Utah: 21/22 September. Intermediate riders. $1000pp
Utah: 24/25 September. Advanced riders. $1200pp (weekend session)
· Utah: 29/30 September: Advanced riders. $1000pp

There are also optional 1 day guided rides available.

These schools are entirely focused on off road and dirt road skills for Adventure and Dual Sport riders, riding dirt roads, trails and off-road riding (not road riding).

We aim to create a safe, low pressure learning process that is fun.

We split our schools into two levels: Intermediate and Advanced. This is to do our best to keep the groups going along each day at a similar pace and so that each group has similar goals.

If you’re not sure which level you fit into, have a think about what your riding goals are and where you would like to be / what sort of group you would be happier / most comfortable in.

If you have any questions about this, just get in touch.

The sign-up here offers some clarification on what to expect as far as the difference between Intermediate and Advanced classes.

If you can’t make it, or if the attendance fee is too stiff, Birch’s instructional video series is available here. If you plan on going to the course, it might be a good idea to pay for the videos anyway; no doubt they’d help you get up to speed more quickly.
