advrider
The all-new BSA Gold Star should be on the UK market soon, and we even have a price tag—finally. This is a rebirth story that has dragged out for quite a while; it started when Mahindra-owned Classic Legends bought the rights to the BSA name. Then, this India-based operation announced its intention to return to the market with an all-new BSA Gold Star, back in early 2021… and since then, we’ve been waiting and waiting. The bike was supposed to be available for sale in the UK by now, but it’s not. Now, although we still don’t have a firm launch date, we supposedly should see one soon, as Classic Legends has finally nailed down a distributor—they think. The company’s execs say they plan to work through Lukas Distribution. This company appears to have nothing in common with the legendary Lucas empire, as founded the Prince of Darkness, but it’s still a name that will bring back some recollections for classic Brit bike fans. Initially, expect a small dealership lineup; BSA suggests it will roll out less than 10 dealers at its UK launch, and add over coming months. Considering this brand was already supposed to launch in the UK in May, many might be frustrated by this news, but Classic Legends wants to get this right the first time. They’ll be made in India, but BSA plans to make a future electric model in a UK factory. Vezi sursa
