The BMW GS Trophy kicks off this coming Sunday, and once again, Motorrad fans from around the world can vote on the competition.

The GS Trophy is BMW’s in-house competition for amateur GS riders (no former racers allowed). Once again, teams of riders from across the world are heading to an exotic location (this year it’s Albania) to test their riding skills along with other skills related to adventure motorcycling. This includes a photo competition, and once again, the general public can vote on the riders’ photos. See below:

The GS Trophy photo and video competition.

The interactive photo competition was introduced in 2012 and was so well received, with many thousands of votes cast, that it has become a permanent feature of the event and will even be expanded to include a video competition this year. The teams themselves will capture the most exciting moments of their adventure in photographs and on film on two days of the GS Trophy 2022. The particular theme of the competition is completely open; it could be an action photo of team-mates, a spectacular landscape or perhaps a unique aspect of local life. At the end of the two days, each team will submit its best photo or video, which will then be posted on the GS Trophy website at www.gstrophy.com.Voting also takes place at www.gstrophy.com.

Voting on the video competition runs September 6, 12 AM-11: PM, Central European Time. The photo competition voting runs for the same 12 AM-11:59 PM stretch on September 8.

The Trophy runs September 4-10 this year; there’s not a whole lot of info on the GSTrophy.com mini-site, although we did get this reveal of the riding location earlier this year:

Looks fun. BMW should keep us updated through that GSTrophy.com mini-site, and we look forward to seeing the teams post photos of their adventures later next week.
