advrider
Want to become a patron of the arts? Right now, it’s your big chance, with some familiar ADV faces looking for funds to complete a film about motorcyclists helping wildlife rangers in East Africa. Tiffany Coates, Nicole Espinosa, and Lorraine Chittock are behind this film—if you’ve been hanging around ADV riding rallies or reading adventure motorcycling magazines for a while, you should recognize their names. The film they’re working on is titled Rallying For A Wild Life; the story focuses on their efforts to deliver a motorcycle to a wildlife ranger, enabling him to fight poaching. They’ve entered this 90-minute feature at the Sundance Film Festival, and to win any awards there, or screen it anywhere else, they need to sort out the details of their music licensing and other legal paperwork and permissions. That takes money, and that’s why they’re on IndieGoGo looking for help. What exactly is the film about? Here’s an except from the campaign write-up: Imagine 90 minutes of Jane Goodall teaming up with THELMA & LOUISE on motorbikes. Or David Attenborough as one of the motorcycle gang in EASY RIDER. Weepy orchestral melodies? Not in this wildlife film. Three women are riding to African hip-hop. Trigger terms like ‘rescue, protect and save’? Nope, not used once… RALLYING FOR A WILD LIFE stars British world record holder Tiffany Coates, and American born Nicole Espinosa, who is without doubt the Queen of Motorcycle Woo-Woo. The trio is complete with British/American passport holder Lorraine Chittock. We three Western biker babes arrive in East Africa to buy THE BIKE for an award winning wildlife ranger. En route to delivering THE BIKE, there’s mechanical issues. When THE BIKE collapses completely, two women are forced to admit defeat. Will woman #3 succeed in transforming THE BIKE for wildlife? Shot as a documentary, I’ve edited RALLYING to be a Hollywood comedy/drama/road movie. You can find out more details at IndieGoGo here, including details of what they plan to spend their funds on, and what perks they’re offering to people who donate.
