advrider
If you’ve purchased motorcycle gear and accessories online, you’ve probably purchased from one of the Comoto brands. The Cycle Gear parent company acquired RevZilla a few years ago, improving its market share and, by bringing in RevZilla’s customer base and prestige brands, improving their standing in the motorcycle community. A New RevZilla Store In that same theme, Comoto has opened another brick-and-mortar RevZilla location, this time in Newport Beach, California. That store is now open at 1812 Newport Blvd, Costa Mesa, California. Is brick-and-mortar retail dead, pushed out by online shopping? Comoto doesn’t think so, and is making the moves to prove it. Grand Opening Revzilla, founded in 2007, started out in Philadelphia, and has since opened locations in Brooklyn, NY and Denver, CO. The Newport Beach location celebrated its grand opening from 30 September to 2 October, 2022. The “Moto Bash” party featured live music and giveaways, and guest-starred Ari Henning and Jen Dunstan. You know you’re doing something right as a retailer, when you can offer your own in-house guest stars to bring people out to an opening party. Below, you can see a video of a YouTuber visiting the new store: [embedded content] And another here: [embedded content] CoMoto Says… Stevan Popovich, Chief Business Development Officer of the Comoto Family of Brands, says “Southern California has always had a strong riding culture and we’re honored to serve the community that’s embraced us since our inception. This new location gives RevZilla access to one of the largest retail markets in the U.S. and offers our customers yet another in-store experience where they can engage with the RevZilla brand firsthand, along with other local riders.” “California has always had a strong riding culture” is putting it lightly. I, for one, am surprised it took RevZilla this long to expand into the Golden State. The CoMoto Group Comoto’s other brands are the aforementioned, more affordable Cycle Gear, and the more cruiser-oriented J&P Cycles. The RevZilla acquisition seemed to round out the company’s gear and accessory offerings to more experienced riders and higher-end gear. All of these retailers offer their “house” brands of riding gear “Bilt” and “Sedici” alongside more established global brands like Icon, Shoei, Held, and REV’IT! to name a few. Comoto also owns REVER, the online motorcycle-specific trip-planning website and smartphone app. RevZilla Still RevZilla It seems as though Comoto is expanding and improving its offerings, as well as adding new . There were concerns about RevZilla retaining its brand integrity after the acquisition, but Comoto seems to have a light touch with its brand groups. For that, many of the ‘Zilla faithful are thankful, and that practice will help Comoto in its future enterprises. Vezi sursa
