Another season has passed, and apparently Hinkley has decided to throw us a bone. Today, we get the video above showing some details on the chassis of Triumph’s new motocross project.

This appears to be an all-new design, with some similarities to other concepts that manufacturers have used a long time, but it’s most certainly not a copycat.

Even more interesting is the fact that new updates seem to be regularly planned in coming weeks, so even though we’ve been waiting forever for news, it sounds like we’ll get a lot more in the near future.

But then, you’d hope that would be the case, as Triumph is supposed to be racing this bike in the MXGP and SuperMotocross series in the next few months. Back in April, Triumph announced it had hired Clément Desalle and Ivan Tedesco as factory riders to challenge those championships. Supposedly, Triumph will race in the 250 class at first, with a 450 to come at a later point.

Along with the plans to build a motocross lineup, we also know Triumph is working on a new enduro model (or more likely, models). We’ve seen very little info about the enduro bikes since they were first announced in July of 2021. Presumably, Triumph will do the same thing as the Euro competition and simply adapt tech from the MX lineup. Why develop a new engine if you don’t have to?

Add in the new Speed 400 and Scrambler 400x, plus the electric bike that’s likely to debut soon, and Triumph is a company that’s in the middle of serious changes right now.
