advrider
We don’t know when the Honda Transalp is coming to North America, but we do know that Big Red’s latest adventure bike is coming here sooner or later. When that happens, there’s no need to pay big bucks for factory accessories! European aftermarket manufacturer Hepco & Becker is kitting the Transalp out now, with bits you’ll want for touring and off-roading. The list starts with crash bars; Hepco & Becker has put together a kit that protects the engine, and also introduced a higher-mounted set of bars to protect your gas tank in a tipover (also serving as a handy mounting point for things like tank panniers or even accessory lights, which Hepco & Becker also sells!). The crash bars are sold in black or silver finish. Hepco & Becker also offers a headlight guard for the new Honda, and handguards. Most Transalp buyers are going to be looking at touring setups, including luggage. In that case, Hepco & Becker will outfit your bike with pannier racks and a topcase carrier as well. You can likely fit luggage that you already own to these racks if you choose, instead of buying new cases. There’s also a locking ring to fit around your gas cap, allowing you to put on a quick-release tankbag. Hepco & Becker also offers an oversized kickstand foot for the Transalp (useful for parking in the dirt), and a centerstand (useful for maintaining your chain). You can see the whole lineup, and the Euro pricing, at Hepco & Becker’s website here. Check out the video below, showing the accessories installed.
