This is the last day for Motorcycle.com’s giveaway for a INNOVV Third Eye Radar System.

Uh, what’s that?

If you’ve been paying attention to the developments in motorcycle technology over the past few years, you’ll know that some new touring bikes are now coming with a safety system that warns you of traffic in your blind spot. It’s the same idea as the warning lights now featured on most cars. But while you normally have to buy an expensive tourer to get this tech, INNOVV is offering a fairly low-priced alternative that can be adapted to a wide range of bikes. It can give you warnings via mirror-mounted lights, or a watch-style light.

Of course, “free, via giveaway” is an even lower price. You can see some more details below, or head over to MO for the full write-up, but remember, you must be a resident of the lower 48 US states to qualify.

Win an accessory to sense traffic in your blind spots and to the rear!

Cars and high-end motorcycles are featuring blind-spot detection on an increasing frequency. After sampling a couple of bikes with this kind of notification, we’re intrigued by the possibilities. Well, the creative folks at INNOVV have come up with a universal aftermarket detection that you can mount on the bike you own now, so you don’t have to wait for some time in the future. INNOVV has graciously agreed to give away two of these systems – one mirror mounted and the other dash/handlebar mounted (the model the winner receives will be chosen at random). The value for this system is $298. All you have to do is enter the contest by giving us your email address and, if you choose, subscribing to our roughly twice-weekly newsletter.

The ThirdEYE, INNOVV’s latest motorcycle radar system, utilizes a millimeter wave radar within a 77-79GHz frequency range, with software algorithms for vehicle detection on both sides and at the rear of the motorcycle. Visual alerts and audible warnings are provided to the rider through the dashboard.

Key advantages of this product include a wide 150° horizontal detection angle to maximize range and response time. Its 77GHz sensor provides high precision in range resolution and velocity measurement. The system is durable and flexible, featuring a high-end aluminum alloy case and is resistant to extreme temperatures from -40℃ to +80℃.

The ThirdEYE can detect up to 64 targets simultaneously within a 50m range, giving riders ample time to react and prevent accidents. Its compact size ensures easy installation, and it boasts a protection degree of IP67, making it highly resistant to water and dust and performing excellently in varying temperature conditions.
