advrider
Photos allegedly showing Moto Guzzi’s rumored resurrection of its Stelvio model are making the rounds online. In the latest round of photos, Italian motorcycle outlet Moto.it shows a montage of four pictures of what they say depicts the new Moto Guzzi Stelvio. Moto.it says that these pictures show Moto Guzzi’s new Stelvio. Image: Moto.it According to Moto.it, the top two pictures were revealed on the Guzzisti Italiani Group’s private Facebook page. The bottom two photos were reportedly snapped by a Moto.it reader named Luigi P. Moto.it also provides some supposed insights into the new Stelvio. The Italian outlet says the new Stelvio will be powered by a 1,042 cc, liquid-cooled engine with a 96 x 72 mm bore and stroke. If this is true, it would seem that the new Stelvio may be sharing the same or very similar engine found in the current V100 Mandello. It puts out a claimed 115 hp (84.6 kW) at 8,700 rpm and 77 lb-ft of torque at 6,750 rpm. Moto.it also offers other Stelvio details, apparently borrowing heavily from the Mandello’s spec sheet. They say that the Stelvio will have “refined electronic management based on a Marelli six-axis IMU inertial platform.” It will also have a ride-by-wire system similar to the one found on the Mandello, with four riding modes (potentially including one for off-road), three engine maps, four levels of traction control, and, interestingly, two levels for engine braking. They also say the Stelvio may have a front radar for adaptive cruise control. Looking closely at the spy shot in the lower left-hand corner of their pictures, it does look like it could be between the headlight and the windshield. It will be interesting to see what the new Stelvio actually looks like when it reaches production. Vezi sursa
